I hired Deborah Van Bergen (Debbie) to help me obtain a peace order. I was being threatened and harassed at my place of employment. Debbie was extremely helpful, kind, and understanding. She helped me obtain the peace order and handled all the contact with the person who was threatening me. I did...n't have to worry about the legal details because Debbie took care of everything. She filed paperwork, conducted interviews with my witnesses, and we won the peace order in court. She answered every phone call in a timely manner and took the time to talk to me about every step in the process. I highly recommend Deborah Van Bergen and would hire her again without hesitation.

dishonest! stole my retainer $2500, only showed up to court one time, refused to refund , never provided a bill, in court she refused to plea not guilty and mis explained a no consent plea and claimed it will not show up on my record, this lady is a crook and not trustworthy she should not be allowed... to practice law!

I felt like I was rushed through our entire court process. As Mrs. Van Bergen did not take what I wanted in account or hear my side of the case, instead she was more focused on what my wife attorney has to say and getting the case over with. and took days to returne my calls or addressed my concerns.... . she gives the impression that she is a very knowledgeable lawyer, however she never showed real proof of this to me either. She has failed to present my side of the case, and did not explain reason of why should I plea no contest, but the real reason is she will not fight for you. in addition to being very inexperienced attorney, she doesnt know how to represent herself amongst attorneys and infront of the court ,and charges too much for her lack of experience. in addition she failed to provide detailed billing and failed to return unearned portion of the advance retainer. bottom line is: her office is only open day a week friday, the rest of the days you have an answering machine to speak to, she will not give you any other method of communication, she has made me plea to no contest when I have strong case built against my wife.
