dishonest! stole my retainer $2500, only showed up to court one time, refused to refund , never provided a bill, in court she refused to plea not guilty and mis explained a no consent plea and claimed it will not show up on my record, this lady is a crook and not trustworthy she should not be allowed... to practice law!

I felt like I was rushed through our entire court process. As Mrs. Van Bergen did not take what I wanted in account or hear my side of the case, instead she was more focused on what my wife attorney has to say and getting the case over with. and took days to returne my calls or addressed my concerns.... . she gives the impression that she is a very knowledgeable lawyer, however she never showed real proof of this to me either. She has failed to present my side of the case, and did not explain reason of why should I plea no contest, but the real reason is she will not fight for you. in addition to being very inexperienced attorney, she doesnt know how to represent herself amongst attorneys and infront of the court ,and charges too much for her lack of experience. in addition she failed to provide detailed billing and failed to return unearned portion of the advance retainer. bottom line is: her office is only open day a week friday, the rest of the days you have an answering machine to speak to, she will not give you any other method of communication, she has made me plea to no contest when I have strong case built against my wife.

I'm so upset with this attorney. I paid her in full and my case isn't even being handled properly. I now have a wage garnishment thanks to this attorney whom I paid last year. I also found out my case was never filed with the court. So where is my money I paid this attorney? Now I have to get anothe...r attorney to handle my case and to sue this attorney for my money back. This attorney is very unprofessional.
