At the recommendation of a relative, my wife and I consulted with Andre McDonald to redo our estate plan. Our previous one was over ten years old and was written when we lived in a different state. During the consultation, Andre explained various options for us to consider, and we decided to move for...ward with him as we began this process. Andre was totally organized and patiently explained every question we had. He then provided the proper forms for us to complete so that he would have the information he needed to move forward on the project. In a very short period of time, he had completed the preparation of everything we needed to finish the project, which included a new trust, revised powers of attorney and living wills, and all the other forms and background we would need, all compiled in a massive notebook as well as an electronic file. When all of that was done, he scheduled a final meeting at which we signed everything that needed to be signed, and also explained the next steps that would occur immediately as well as in the future. We were able to include our daughter, who is the executrix of the estate, in this meeting so that she would be comfortable with her duties. And Andre assured all of us that he would be available to assist us as necessary in the future. Following the closure of this process, a further complication arose with the investment company that we use. Andre advised us through that process and even participated in a conference call with the firm and us to ensure everything was done properly. There was no additional fee for this assistance.
