Dishonest Billing Practices

I hired Mr. Narvaiz for a real estate matter. Narvaiz did not provide a summary of hours worked on the initial invoice; he only provided a figure with the amount due. When asked provide specifics of services rendered, he refused to. He did not bill on a monthly basis. Had he done so, I might have ha...d a chance to object to some of his billing practices sooner and likely would have terminated sooner. On the final invoice, before I discontinued services with him, Narvaiz greatly exaggerated billable hours. Mr. Narvaiz seemed knowledgeable and was responsive, although often provided contradictory advice. Narvaiz attempted to negotiate a settlement agreement for me, but proceeded to do so without gathering all of the information first (did not obtain a vital document). My Narvaiz was ultimately not able to provide the relief I was seeking. For the reasons stated, I would not recommend this lawyer.

"Ricardo Narvaiz is an excellent attorney with whom I have had the pleasure of working. He is insightful, ethical and professional. He supervised/mentored me during my first job in private practice and provided me with excellent litigation skills I still use to this day. Although my career path turned towards criminal law I still keep in touch with him and refer civil matters to him. I recommend him wholeheartedly."
