Elias G Saboura-Polkovotsy

Elias G. Saboura-Polkovotsy (“Eli”) litigates in broad range of complex commercial, business, construction, general liability and casualty, and professional liability claims throughout Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. He regularly practices before the state and federal courts, as well as administrative bodies, and has over Eighteen (18) years of experience handling complex civil cases as a litigation and trial attorney, both defensively, and offensively.

Over the years Eli has developed a diverse civil litigation practice defending general liability and casualty litigation, construction litigation, design and premises liability disputes, including defending design professionals, engineering consultants and contractors. He has represented trucking companies, airlines, fitness clubs, apartment complexes, condominiums, restaurants and bars, retail establishments, non-profit organizations, health care clinics, daycare centers, hotels, and small business owners in various general liability and casualty mattes.

Eli is also known for providing professional malpractice defense to attorneys, accountants, directors and officers, real estate professionals, title insurance professionals, health care professionals, nursing homes, social workers, engineers, architects and other design professionals. Further Eli has represented such professionals in other disciplinary matters. These matters include arbitrations and administrative board trials including hearings before the American Arbitration Association, and state professional responsibility peer review actions for attorneys and health care professionals. As part of his professional malpractice practice, Eli has handled federal statutory claims under TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, FCRA, and ECOA, and related state consumer protection claims, including mass action and class action claims in state and federal court.

A graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law, with honors, Eli clerked for the Honorable John F. Fader, II, of the Circuit Court of Baltimore County. During law school, Eli was Staff Editor at the University’s Journal of Environmental Law, a member of the Moot Court Board Team, and the President of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. He also holds an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.

Prior to founding Saboura, Goldman & Colombo, P.C., f/k/a Saboura Law Group, P.C., Eli was a shareholder at a 30+ attorney regional civil litigation and insurance defense firm. Eli holds an “AV” Preeminent Lawyer rating form Martindale-Hubble and has been rated by the Maryland and the District of Columbia “Super Lawyers™” magazine through its patented selection process in the area of professional negligence. Eli has also served as a presenter of professional malpractice defense and other related topics for Architects and Engineers in Maryland and Virginia.
