Sakhouy Lay

Sakhouy was very helpful in a very difficult time. My soon to be ex-wife had taken our children out of their home state of CT and attempted to move them down to M.D. In order to try to keep them there she had file a domestic violence order onme she claimed happened in CT. She did this to try to keep ...them from me so M.D. would have jurisdiction. Sakhouy argued she wasn't a resident if M.D. and the kids are residents of CT. She was able to prove this for me to get it dismissed so I can be with my 2 boys. She did this in a very short notice and handled it in a very professional manner. I recently have gotten my children returned to me back yo CT and I have Sakhouy to thank for it. I searched for the right lawyer and was having trouble finding the right one. Sakhouy was HIGHLY recommended from a dear friend. I called her law office and spoke with her for a good 15 minutes about the situation I was in. ALL cases are important, but this was a family court matter involving custody... of my son. She never made me feel like she was rushing me and was extremely empathetic with me. So we set up an appointment. I met with Ms. Lay at her office in Rockville, which was very nice and professional. I described more in detail about my case and expressed my concerns. She listened intently, made notes, waited patiently as I poured out my heart about my son and my worries. When I was finished with all the information that I found necessary, it was her turn to talk, and she did not disappoint. She immediately put me at ease and explained how and why I had NOTHING to worry about... She told me what OUR strategy would be and how to proceed in my communications with my son's mother. Did I mention that it was a free consultation? And that it lasted 45 minutes? As soon as I stood up, I felt the weight of stress and worry had been lifted, I left her office feeling confident, best feeling in the world! She worked with me on payments (which were very reasonable) and she ALWAYS made herself available for me, answering all of my questions and consistently putting me at ease. She was punctual and handled her business VERY well in court AND out. She seemed to have a very good relationship with the judges and attorney's. That proved to be very helpful. She took authority in the courtroom and commanded a win... I was ECSTATIC!!! I followed her instructions to a tee and it paid off! Hopefully it won't be necessary, but God forbid, if I EVER need another lawyer, I would LOVE to attain her services! My ex husband put a restraining order on me to evict me from the house and she came to my rescue. Then he is taking me to court to get full custody still waiting for the court case to happen and finally he just put a criminal case for 1st degree burglary.
