About me

I became passionate about mediation when I represented clients who I knew would go bankrupt if they could not resolve the dispute without trial.  At that time, in the early 80s. mediation was little known or accepted. They went bankrupt.

My early legal work was business litigation, particularly intellectual property, health care and environmental.  However, after my contested divorce my practice turned to family matters, based on large part because of the lessons I learned (i.e. what to avoid) in my divorce. BTW, at the time of my divorce my then wife and I could not get along at all. Today that is all behind us, we get along well and my current and former wife socialize together, so there is life and changes after divorce. So even though I still litigate cases, I approach cases from the perspective that the parties should first try to settle cases, through mediation or negotiations, before going through the wear and tear of a trial.

  • Neal J Meiselman

I endorse this lawyer. Bob is an excellent mediator. I suggest Bob as a mediator when looking with opposing counsel. Bob is calm, well-versed, and well-suited to the role of mediator. In addition, when parties come to me for mediation and need independent counsel, Bob is on the short list of counsel I trust to support the mediation process while always looking out for his client's interests.
