also known as Law Office of Robert L. Baum
I offer a full array of family law dispute resolution options. I have over 30 years of litigation, negotiation and mediation experience, so I can offer a variety of ways to help you with your situation. I know the pitfalls of family law litigation, including the toll it takes on the family, the expense and uncertainty. I have become a leader in advancing alternative dispute resolution, especially mediation and collaborative law. I have extensive trial experience which I use when necessary, but if I am representing a client my negotiation skills usually get my clients good outcomes without a trial.
My practice is split between representing family members and mediation for the family. I mediate many divorce separation and settlement agreements, but also any disputes that need the guidance of an experienced neutral to resolve the situation. In addition to divorce mediation I mediate guardianships, custody, non-marital separations, inter-generational disputes and whatever matters require a neutral to help resolve the dispute.
I have practiced in several areas of the law, so that I can bring varied experiences to the table. As detailed in my biography, I have both a family law and business law background. I can bring a business perspective to family law issues and the family law perspective to business disputes.
As a litigator and alternative dispute resolution attorney, my goal is to help you resolve your dispute in a way that costs you as little as possible in terms of time, money and pain.

"Bob is a very well respected and highly effective attorney and mediator. He is a strong advocate for his clients but is also a skilled mediator. He works diligently to find an amicable resolution whenever possible. It is a pleasure to offer my endorsement."
"Bob has acted as mediator in several of my cases. He is a consummate professional and highly skilled mediator. Bob is high on my referral list."
"I endorse this lawyer. Bob is an excellent mediator. I suggest Bob as a mediator when looking with opposing counsel. Bob is calm, well-versed, and well-suited to the role of mediator. In addition, when parties come to me for mediation and need independent counsel, Bob is on the short list of counsel I trust to support the mediation process while always looking out for his client's interests."
"I endorse this lawyer. Bob is a very skilled and very intelligent mediator and lawyer. He is both smart and compassionate and understands the law and the needs of his clients."
