Nina Macfadden Helwig

Nina was appointed by the court for my two children during a bitter custody battle. She was an excellent lawyer who faught very heard to defend my children, even thogh the judge ruled against her recommendation at first. Weeks after the judges ruling, things started to get even worse then it was befo...re for my 12 year old. After the first ruling she filed for emergency hearing and got the over night suspened permanetly from other parents house. She has given my children their child hood back, peace of mind, and security where they can go to sleep without having to worry abut anything. They can be care free children again. Her fees were very reasonable. I would recommend her to any one one who is in a bad situation and needs legal help to defend and to protect the children. Thank you Nina for all you have done for my children to give them a healthy and happy childhood going forward.

Mrs.Helwig was the BIA for my younger sister about 2-3 years ago throughout the ongoing case for custodial modification between my father and his ex-wife. When I met with Mrs.Helwig, she was very friendly, and even more, she was very compassionate to the situation and my sister. When she met with my ...family, she showed real interest in getting to know each individual member, and asked questions that revolved around the stability of our household and my sister. She never once brought up the opposing party, or her opinion on that side of the case. She was not biased at all, and only had interest in what was important - my sister. Rather than engaging in friendly, meaningless conversation, she got down to the nitty gritty, and did her job. When the case turned out in my father's favor, his ex-wife was very spiteful and blamed Mrs.Helwig, calling her "unprofessional and biased". However, that is not truthful, and quite frankly she acted out as a "sore loser". As someone who was not directly involved in the case, but as a mere outsider who has been in both homes, I can honestly say that Mrs.Helwig did her job, and she did it well.
