Heidi. Is. Amazing. Heidi was different from the start--her integrity shone immediately in our consultation. She wasn't trying to make a quick buck, but gave thoughtful and deliberate consideration to my case to see if she was able to be the best representative for me, both in her expertise and bandw...idth. I believe this allowed her to "give it her all" to my case, which resulted in a great marital settlement for me. She prioritizes your case even if it's "small", and allots her time very wisely so that she is available for you every step of the way. Heidi is also personally driven to complete your case with the best outcome for you, and her dedication is much appreciated as I had previously worked with attorneys who had terminated before reaching a settlement for my case. Further, Heidi respects your time and does everything on her part to expedite and move the case along. I know this appears to be baseline, but I had other experiences where I, as the client, had to be on top of ensuring that the case was moving forward. Heidi is also well-informed, trained, and sensitive to domestic violence and trauma, which was a plus for me. Once again, despite "specializing in domestic violence", I've encountered attorneys who are not knowledgeable about the ins and outs of how that plays out in the divorce proceedings. My case is now complete and I've successfully divorced with Heidi's help. She supported and advocated for me to get the best outcome I was hoping for, and I am eternally grateful. I hired Heidi based on the reviews. I was in a bad spot, I had fired my first attorney after a year and it was late in the process. Although the discovery period had ended and a Pendente Lite order issued, she accepted my case. After numerous attempts to settle, motions, a deposition, and many lett...ers, my case went to trial. Throughout the divorce process Heidi was responsive, well prepared, and organized. She was fair and reasonable about fees and controlling costs. Even a judge pointed this out as “refreshing” during a motion for sanctions and attorney’s fees we filed against the other party and won. In a case as complex and contentious as mine, she had the wonderful ability to recall hundreds of emails, text messages and financial records that I had provided. Her knowledge of family law and Maryland rules was exceptional. In any divorce case, emotions run high. Fortunately, Heidi did not get caught up in the fray and brought a calming mindset to the whole process. Should I ever think about getting married again, I’m calling Heidi for the prenup!

I utilized Heidi this past year for the legal process of modifying child support following a decrease in salary and some change in my medical circumstances. Working with her was excellent - she guides you the process, explains what is coming, gives you questions to answer to prepare you for upcomin...g steps, and then is realistic with what the likely outcome might be based on what the law or a said judge might determine as it relates to a matter. I ended up getting the results I wanted and the fee she charged was very very reasonable. Working with Heidi, I got a lot of closure associated with divorce and child support that I never had following the original process with a different lawyer who was awful and will go unnamed.
