Renee Lee Stasio

I came to Renee a year after my divorce was settled because there were lingering issues not caught the first time around that were really impacting my ability to co-parent with my ex. Renee was detail-oriented, organized, well versed on the law, available, and willing to go the extra mile to make sur...e that the law was fairly imposed and then followed. She was professional with my ex's legal team, which went a long way to getting us where we needed to be ultimately, without having to go to court. I went to Renee for help with my divorce and custody battle and she was more than I could have hoped for in an attorney -- not only was she extremely well versed in the letter of the law and the way the court system works, she was very understanding of my situation and provided a great deal of moral ...support during a difficult period in my life. Renee advised me on the best course of action both legally and strategically, and acted quickly when needed to file documents or to act pre-emptively. She listened to my wishes and was respectful of them, but at the same time, she gently made suggestions when I was too emotional to think straight, advising me to make decisions that, in hindsight, turned out to be exactly right. Throughout the whole process, Renee always asked me how my son was doing, and I really felt like she cared about us as people, that we weren't just "people". Even now when I no longer need her services, she still keeps in touch from time to time. I would highly recommend Renee as a family lawyer for anyone going through divorce or child custody issues. She knows the law, and she's a great person to boot.

Renee was my lawyer during my divorce in 2012.To this day (now 2015), I still recommend her to all my friends who unfortunately need her services. I cannot say enough good things about her. Renee was not the typical "divorce lawyer". She was always available, in person, via email or over the phone ev...en in short notice. Renee always advised me in what was in my best interest, not what would get her more money out of me. She asked questions and helped me think of things I wasn't thinking about, which ultimately led to a better settlement agreement. I have a daughter, who was 3 at the time, and Renee thought about what was in her best interest every step of the way. She was fair, strong, empathetic, kind. I just can't speak enough about what a wonderful person and lawyer she was.

Renee is one of the few people in this profession who know what they are doing! I have had the sad misfortune to not have had Renee as my first lawyer subsequently she has helped me navigate a very broken system. She has been very responsive to my calls and emails as well as sensitive to the difficul...ty my daughter and I face on an on going basis. She takes time to talk and explain things to me and has always shown me that she will always be there for us when we need her. I am not sure how someone can do the job she does and care for her clients as much as she does and still have any time or energy left at the end of a day. I have and will continue to recommend her to those in need of her heart and expertise. She has made an unbearable situation bearable, managed chaos and crisis and educated me along the way.

She's nice enough but that doesn't really matter so much when it comes legal representation. She's not good at standing up to questions from the judge and the other side's lawyer. She also has a tendency to be a bit emotional. Goes hand in hand with being bad at making arguments, just doesn't have th...e logical skills to cut it. My case outcome was poor and I would say its due to her bad lawyering.
