Renee Lee Stasio

It's true; she's exceptional. Renée and I quickly became an effective team, and she worked closely with me to help me learn the nuances and ever-changing nature of family law and to help me set realistic and child-centered expectations. I simply could not have survived my high-conflict situation with...out her. She is honest, fair and family-focused. She listens to alternative views and knows how to effectively advocate for her clients. She's a straight shooter, an honest broker, and can be as tenacious as the situation requires. That said, Renée is also the kind of compassionate person who will stop and help people in the courtroom if she notices they are fending for themselves, being treated unfairly or having trouble communicating. I watched her spontaneously translate for someone who wasn't even her client because she realized he was being tricked by an unscrupulous attorney. I've also seen her walk a blind man to the Metro and give some unsolicited feedback to a mom who was struggling to represent herself. She has a heart for helping those less fortunate, and she truly defies the "greedy lawyer." stereotype. I'm thankful that she was recommended to me ... and recommend her without hesitation.

After a very painful and grueling year, Renee suceeded in restoring 50/50 legal and physical custody of my children. This was not an easy thing to do. I had some baggage and by the time she took over, my spouse had withheld the children for six months without a court order, which was a huge advant...age to the other side Renee took what was a dog of a case by then, gradually reversed its course and returned my children to their home after a nine-day trial. She's a fighter. She doesn't take nonsense from the other side, and if you need to shape up she'll give it to you straight, too. Renee is very smart, tough and seemingly fearless. She is an amazing advocate, and you will never meet someone with a bigger heart or more integrity. I could not have gotten through this year without her.

Renee is a more then just a lawyer to me and my family. I truly felt supported every step of the way in my custody case legally and emotionally. Renee listened and cared about every detail of my case from our every first meeting down to the end of my case. There were many times when I was unable to... navigate emotionally through my case in regards to what I needed to do and what I wanted in the best interest of my case.
