This attorney doesn't always know best
You would expect a man such Mr. Bonsib, would be a man to place your faith. I trusted him and my family trusted him to help me proceed with my criminal trial. He was wrong, bet those cases just get swept under the rug when it comes to his "accomplishments". I would never recommend this man. He wa...
This person writes a review every 3 or 4 years repeating the same statements. Lawyers are limited by ethical considerations with respect to what information can be publicly posted in response to comments such as this one. I was retained to assist this client. I added an associate attorney to the case at no additional cost to the client. The fee she was charged would not have covered the cost of a used SUV. We aggressively defended her in federal court in a difficult trial against strong government evidence. I did not recommend a judge trial. In fact, she had a jury trial so it is hard to understand why she is complaining about a judge trial. It was a jury that convicted her, not a judge. She retained another attorney for sentencing. Her complaints regarding restitution issues were also sentencing issues for which our firm was not responsible. After her sentencing, this client returned to our firm asking that we assist her with her appeal. Because of comments such as those in this review we declined to further represent her. This review was posted for a case that occurred in 2012. I encourage others to review other comments from my other clients and visit my website at [email protected] for a more accurate view of the difficult cases I have handled and continue to handle and the reviews and recognitions from individuals and organizations that have known me over the years. I have always worked hard and, when necessary, aggressively defended clients in trials. I care about my clients but obviously cannot please everyone. The reviews from my many clients attest to the professional and caring manner in which I represent my clients. This review just proves that you can please everyone, no matter how hard you try.

Best Lawyer
Robert Bonsib was hired during a scary time in my life in which he was a cornerstone of confidence and knowledge. I was very lucky to have him help me. From the day of my questioning through hearings to court appearances he represented me with accuracy, sensitivity and skill. If he did not represe...

Excellent
I highly recommend Bob as a legal counselor and advisor. The legal motion Bob prepared along with evidence gathered resulted in my case being dismissed by the State's Attorney Office prior to my trial date.

Last year I was falsely charged with a crime by the States Attorneys Office for Prince Georges County Maryland. There is no way to even describe how this devastated mine and my families lives. I immediately started searching for the best criminal defense attorney in the Maryland and Washington DC a...
"My father was a Prince George's County Police Officer. When I decided to go to law school and practice criminal law, he told me to look no further than Bob Bonsib for guidance. My father had the pleasure of seeing Bob practice on both sides of the aisle as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, and to this day still tells stories of Bob's brilliance in the courtroom. Bob is a friend, mentor, pillar of the legal community, and most importantly, an excellent trial lawyer."
"I had the pleasure of having a case against Mr. Bonsib when I was a prosecutor. He is second to none. Level of professionalism and knowledge of the law goes unmatched."
"Mr. Bonsib is as good as it gets in the field of White Collar Crime. Well respected and has decades of experience."
"I endorse this lawyer. Rob and I attended the same law school, though at different times. I know his excellent legal knowledge stems from the sound educational foundation forged at Catholic University's Columbus School of Law."
"Bob is the go-to guy for federal court in Greenbelt Maryland. Experienced and professional. Highly recommended."
"I endorse this lawyer. Ask most Federal or State Judges in Maryland or the District of Columbia, who is the number one criminal defense attorney? Who would you choose to represent you, your wife, your son or your daughter? The answer is usually Robert Bonsib. I have seen this gentleman in the courtrooms of Maryand for 25 years. I have seen him lecture to large rooms of the most esteemed Judges and Lawyers in this State. I have seen him receive awards from these same professionals. For over 37 years, he is among the very finest lawyers in Maryland and the District of Columbia."
