I had 2 previous lawyers who did not keep me in the loop or let me know what was going on in my case. Most importantly, they did not let me have input on the direction of my case. My Anukem and her firm kept me up to speed on the case and let me know that I was in the drivers seat. This firm took my case and did minimal work to then quit the case in the middle of litigation placing the outcome of my case at risk. J. Anukem & Associates then placed a judgment on the case they quit and took me to court for the balance of legal fees before the case was resolved. I believe these ac...tions were retaliatory for me reporting their activities to the Maryland Bar Association. As such I would not be willing to recommend this firm to anyone seeking legal counsel.
