Ethical, not money centered and really cares about his clients

Altough I only sought his opinion for my case, I left him feeling I could trust my life and future in his hands. Firstly, he knows the family law really well and has tons of experience, is well respected among the legal communities and I bet he would not take a case just for the sake of money or to ...win. He seemed like one of the few remaining lawyers who did good because it is ethical and right to do. I would recommend him to anyone who is going through difficult family matters.

A lawyer who will fight for you.

Brian Hirsch represented me in the matter of a Spousal Support Modification case. After retiring from the military and then retiring a second time, my former spouse claimed he could no longer afford to make payments. Having had three sessions with a Mediator, we were regrettably unable to reach a set...tlement that was beneficial to us both. At this point, I needed to seek the services of an attorney. Within the first 10 minutes of my consultation with Brian, he asked me why I had decided to acquire his service, because his fees were higher than the attorney I initially consulted. At that point I simply stated, “I WANT SOMEONE TO FIGHT FOR ME.” Brian did just that. He captured the essence of my case immediately and that gave me a sense of relief and confidence in him. I was very impressed that Brian began to work on my case so quickly. There were voluminous amounts of questions and paperwork almost weekly leading up to the deposition. At one point I became truly frustrated with the type and amount of documents I was required to provide to opposing counsel since it was unknown to me if he would be requesting similar documents from them. One call to the office and I was reassured with these words “WE HAVE OUR CASE, THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE THEIRS’’ The results of the trial: Motion to Terminate was denied and no modification to support was granted. Plus, attorney’s fees were awarded to me. This indeed was a truly amazing win. I believe that he, being from a military family himself, had a greater understanding and appreciation of the nuances surrounding my case and lifestyle. And finally, if I were to describe Brian Hirsch using three attributes, I would say that he is brilliant, trustworthy and HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU.

Spousal Support

My case involved my ex stopping spousal support suddenly without going through the court and suing me to stop it altogether. Brian immediately took actions. He is calm and low-key and i am nervous and high strung. i wanted more face time, but things worked out well and Brian actually kept my costs do...wn. He refused to lower himself to the dirty tricks the other side tried. He was honest with me about the pros and cons for each side and he was supportive. He made me fell like I was in good hands. He did a great job of letting the ex hang himself. Things worked out well for me.

spousal support

my case involved my ex stopping my support without warning and then suing to stop support altogether. Brian is calm and deliberate. I wanted more face time, but Brian knew what he was doing. He listened to me and expressed appreciation for my input. He made me feel secure. He was always honest about ...the pros and cons of each side. He refused to lower himself to the nasty tricks the other side tried and he let the ex hang himself. They were cognizant about keeping my costs down. The outcome was favorable for me and will use these people again if i ever need them.

Attorney with Integrity, Brilliance and Experience

I have been a client of Brian’s for almost a decade. I started with the firm when it was Craig & Hirsch and I was fortunate enough to have Brian continue as my counsel after Mary Ellen Craig retired in 2006. Brian’s expertise in family law and his wisdom of experience has made his guidance in...valuable. With Brian advising me on contentious situations outside of the courtroom we successfully diffused things on many occasions. Over time with Brian’s insight, I was able to expand my perspective of how to view situations without letting emotions interfere. I have no regrets about not going to court when we did not need to, and am pleased with all of the out of court resolutions we reached. Of course, sometimes resolutions just can’t be reached and court is necessary. Brian is a powerful litigator with the ability to synthesize tremendous amounts of case information and develop a consolidated, impactful argument. Our verdicts were favorable and for me, positively life-altering. Brian is well-respected in the legal community and he truly is one of the Top Virginia lawyers. He keeps up with family law and also has the ability to read dynamic court room situations while he litigates. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for Brian and my sons and I would not be in the positive place we are today had it not been for him. Brian also has a great team at Hirsch & Ehlenberger that is professional, pleasant, responsive and understanding. They also have very favorable billing practices and competitive rates. I have referred two friends to this firm and both were very pleased with their outcomes and experiences.
