A lawyer who will fight for you.

Brian Hirsch represented me in the matter of a Spousal Support Modification case. After retiring from the military and then retiring a second time, my former spouse claimed he could no longer afford to make payments. Having had three sessions with a Mediator, we were regrettably unable to reach a set...tlement that was beneficial to us both. At this point, I needed to seek the services of an attorney. Within the first 10 minutes of my consultation with Brian, he asked me why I had decided to acquire his service, because his fees were higher than the attorney I initially consulted. At that point I simply stated, “I WANT SOMEONE TO FIGHT FOR ME.” Brian did just that. He captured the essence of my case immediately and that gave me a sense of relief and confidence in him. I was very impressed that Brian began to work on my case so quickly. There were voluminous amounts of questions and paperwork almost weekly leading up to the deposition. At one point I became truly frustrated with the type and amount of documents I was required to provide to opposing counsel since it was unknown to me if he would be requesting similar documents from them. One call to the office and I was reassured with these words “WE HAVE OUR CASE, THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE THEIRS’’ The results of the trial: Motion to Terminate was denied and no modification to support was granted. Plus, attorney’s fees were awarded to me. This indeed was a truly amazing win. I believe that he, being from a military family himself, had a greater understanding and appreciation of the nuances surrounding my case and lifestyle. And finally, if I were to describe Brian Hirsch using three attributes, I would say that he is brilliant, trustworthy and HE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU.

Highest recommendation, Best Divorce Attorney in NoVA

From the very first meeting with Brian, I knew that he would serve my best interests at all times. He is very open and transparent about the separation/ divorce process, detailing timeline, possible scenarios, outcome and costs. While my case did not seem complex at first, it quickly evolved into a s...talemate for settlement, then to litigation. Brian was calm and strategic throughout the process, making the right moves at the right time. Brian has significant knowledge of the local courts, opposing attorney’s and litigation strategies. As my case was dragged out to improve settlement position, Brian patiently waited for opportunities to shift the momentum to our side. The case was basically settled at the court house steps, with an outcome that far exceeded my expectations. Brian developed a game plan and stuck to it from start to finish, which is far better than being reactive. Brian’s partners and staff were very responsive and professional. His hourly rate is very competitive compared to other divorce attorney’s in the area, and provided an excellent value based on my outcome. I would not hesitate to recommend Brian to family, friends, and clients. If you are considering separation/ divorce, make sure you get to Brian first.

Very grateful for Brian Hirsch

I've had the opportunity to work with Brian over the last eight years. I am very grateful for the skillful way he has helped me through a number of difficult experiences. I originally met Brian in 2006 when I chose him to represent me during my divorce. Brian helped me negotiate everything and se...ttle all of the financial and custodial arrangements out of court, which I really appreciated. Only several years later, after things (unfortunately) turned contentious, did I learn what an effective lawyer Brian is inside the courtroom as well. Brian is a levelheaded and even-tempered attorney. He stays calm even in highly-emotional situations, and never behaves in a mean or vindictive way. Brian has the respect of other attorneys and judges alike, and this goes along way toward establishing credibility and being able to come up with the right decision or solution. Brian has consistently given me good advice about not only legal strategy, but also how to handle problematic situations with my children and ex-wife. I can honestly say that I've never regretted following his advice. (In fact, had I followed Brian's advice on a decision I made four years ago, I could have saved myself a lot of grief and hassle.) One big thing that I underestimated initially was the value of a good litigator. It's hard to know how a lawyer will perform in court until you have had the chance to observe him in that setting. Having had Brian represent me in a number of hearings now—and prevailing every time—I can confidently say that he is one of the best in the courtroom. Going to court is always a stressful experience, but it is much less so when you have confidence in your lawyer. Brian maintains a calm, measured demeanor, and is consistently articulate and credible. His arguments are very effective and he always presents my position well. Above all, I appreciate what a genuinely good person Brian is. It is clear that he cares about me and my family, and his principal motivation seems to be to help us in the best way that he can. No lawyer is perfect, but Brian has those qualities that I consider to be most important. I value his experience, his wisdom, his excellent litigation skills, and his goodness and decency.
