About Eric
Biography
Eric Demetriades grew up in South Florida and attended Florida State University for his undergraduate degree in Political Science and his Master’s Degree in Applied American Politics. While at Florida State, he was President of his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta, Executive Vice President of IFC, elected as a student senator and Senior Class Counsel, and President of the Order of Omega. After completing his Master’s Degree he attended the University Of Richmond School of Law. At the University of Richmond he was very active in the Client Counseling and Negotiations Board, the Trial Advocacy Board, a member of Phi Delta Phi Honor Fraternity, and was elected to the Student Bar Association.
After graduating law school in 2007, Mr. Demetriades worked for Steptoe and Johnson briefly before practicing for Biberaj and Snow P.C. in Loudoun and Fairfax County Courts. While an associate at the firm he handled cases ranging from School Disciplinary Appeals to Murder cases. In 2010 he was named one of Loudoun County Businesses’ Top 30 Under 30 Professionals. In 2013 he started the law firm of Hendrix │ Demetriades, PC which specialized in Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Juvenile Law. In 2015, he was a Co-Founding Partner of the Laurel Brigade Law Group. In 2017, he was named “40 Under 40” by the Loudoun Times Mirror.
Mr. Demetriades has handled several high profile criminal cases in Loudoun, Clarke and Fairfax Counties. He has also been active in the community through sponsoring a Blood Drive through INOVA, a mentor with the Leadership in the Law Camp for rising High School Seniors, and through his involvement in the “Beat the Odds” program which awards scholarships to high school seniors who have been involved in the Juvenile Court System. In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, he was named a Super Lawyer: Rising Star, by Super Lawyers Magazine and in 2019 & 2020, he was named a Super Lawyer. He has previously served as the President of the Loudoun County Bar Association and the Loudoun County Circuit Court Bench/Bar Chair. Mr. Demetriades resides in Loudoun County with his daughter, son and Golden Retriever puppy Samantha.
