This was the first time I have ever had to hire an attorney and I am thankful it was Mike. He helped give me the peace of mind and confidence during one of the most stressful times of my life dealing with a DUI charge. Working with Mike was a very good experience. At our initial phone consult and initial meeting Mike listened patiently. At some points he me prompted for further details and some how made 4 pages of notes. Mike filed a motion to get discovery information and invited me to review it with him. During t...his review, Mike was able to detail strengths and weaknesses on both sides and laid out a strategy. Mike was very convinced by the evidence that jail time was off the table and that the State's case was vulnerable. Mike advised me that it was likely that a prosecutor would make a deal, if not dismiss. We did not communicate much until a couple days before trial; at that point, Mike was able to tell me what to expect on the day of, whether to drive myself or not, and where he would meet me and how to avoid the crowds. At court, Mike was recognized by name by the judge and several other court staff members. Prior to my case being called on the docket, Mike had secured an amended charge for me which was second only a complete win.
