She represented me on a stalking charge. I requested she provide all evidence to me a request for an appeal through another lawyer. She provided a few - I know because I saw many pages on court date that she FAILED to provide later. On court date she refused to listen to my input. She repeatedly cu...t me off from speaking. She showed me a few pages of evidence and talked continuously (not of the evidence) in the one minute she flipped through a dozen pages. She told me several times, the 'prosecutor has much more that they could charge me with, so I should feel lucky to not go to trial.' On date of court appearance, she walked past me several times without either seeing me, or not recognizing me. When I approached her, she didn't even call me by my real name.

She was very honest about all probable outcomes of my case and while I didn’t have much going for me, she gave me some concrete things to do (classes, community service) that might help my ...case. Also, focusing on her tasks helped relieve the stress of waiting in legal limbo. The first arraignment didn’t go as well as we hoped but she didn’t let me give up hope, she suggested some more things (more community service) for me to do that might help and got a continuance. At my second court date, things again didn’t seem to be exactly where Shannon or I wanted them but she ended up getting me something better than I had been hoping for. I would recommend Shannon to anyone. She is direct and very honest about your legal situation. Even when it wasn’t looking like things would go my way, Shannon discussed all possible outcomes with me. I like that she didn’t try to lie to me or give me false hope. Her background as a prosecutor gives her invaluable insight into the process and she uses that knowledge now as a defense attorney. I’d recommend her to anyone!
