Sogand guided and helped me though a Marital Separation process.
She was direct, consistent, professional in all fields that we went through. /Financial, Personal, Institutional, etc.
All the issues were profoundly discussed and reviewed. She was careful with every detail and I always have trusted her opinion and experience.
She knows how to handle every situation being very supportive to the client.
I would strongly recommend her professional services and all professionals working with her.

Sogand took over our case midstream after we had spent close to a quarter of a million dollars in attorney fees with another firm in a very heated custody case. We had gotten nowhere fast with our previous attorney and had spent a lot of money so we decided we needed a BIG change. After researching thoroughly and seeking recommendations we decided to go with Ms. Zamani's firm because of strong recommendations (many of them from the DC court house "grapevine") and their reputation for being fiercely protective of their clients, putting the needs of the child first and aggressively fighting for the best interests of the child. Our case is far from over, however, from every praecipe, motion and status hearing update, we feel we have been extremely well represented and our family has been protected. Family Court is an ugly place with all kinds of twists and turns that can leave you reeling with fear of the unkown. Sogand Zamani has not been afraid to fight through the ugly with skill, knowledge and experience and navigate the twists and turns with sound judgement and intregrity.....which is so much more than I can say about our previous attorney and opposing council.

Sogand successfully litigated my contested adoption case. She is a consummate professional, a skilled advocate, and a very kind person. Her writing and court room skills are precise and her instincts impecible. She is an outstanding lawyer.

I am so happy we chose to work with Sogund Zamani and Sara Scott. They were professional, knowledgeable, extremely responsive and so easy to work with. They went out of their way to make the process both simple and very clear for us. Throughout the process, I felt 100% confident that I was in the best of hands. Having worked with a number of attorneys in the DC metro area, I would wholeheartedly recommend Zamani and Scott - they are a fantastic small practice with a lot of personal attention.

I highly recommend Sogand. She has represented me for the past two years and half, in a very difficult custody and divorce battle, with jurisdiction issues between the USA and France. Sogand is strategical, knowledgeable, clear, efficient, fast, reliable and always available. I am truly happy to be able to rely on her expertise.

Separating from one's spouse is one of the most personal things you may ever do, and if you choose to use the collaborative divorce process, you could not select a more accomplished, compassionate attorney than Sogand Zamani. From my first numb days of not quite knowing what was happening during the separation through the many days and weeks of hard work, and on into the final days of putting the finishing touches on the separation agreement and looking forward to the next phase in my life, Sogand was there with an informed but sympathetic guiding hand. She communicated promptly and proactively, took time to help me understand my legal options, developed a sense of my values and personality in suggesting possible approaches I might take to negotiating with my spouse, and moved the process forward as efficiently and effectively as possible. The separation has made this a long and difficult year for me, but since the legal side of the matter required me to work with an attorney, I was fortunate enough to open this painful experience to Sogand Zamani, whose legal talents are matched in their quality and depth only by her ability to connect on a human level with her clients. I would be happy to recommend her to anyone considering the collaborative divorce process.

Sogand enjoys a fantastic reputation in the legal community; one that is well deserved. We were fellow associates at our old firm so I can say firsthand that Sogand is thorough, competent, and passionate about her practice. Highly recommend!
