A Great Listener

Ms. Axmith is a lawyer who most definitely stands out. I called her office to leave a message at 10 pm and was surprised to find she picked up the phone because she was working late on a case. She gave me some initial advice that put me at ease, and didn't charge any consultation fees. My initial impression of her is that she is a very experienced and no-nonsense lawyer who would go to bat for you if you were being threatened or intimidated. I really liked her from the get go because I felt she was on my side without judging me or making me feel small. I walked away feeling empowered and less befuddled. Foreclosure Defense Advice

As a homeowner facing foreclosure, I found Ms. Axsmith online and gave her a call a few months ago. She took the time to understand my situation and offered very helpful general advice on how I might proceed. At no time did she request a contract or retainer. I found her approach comforting and reassuring compared to the many lawyers in this town who only seem to want the money. I hope to retain Ms. Axsmith when my foreclosure case is formalized.

Informative Consultation

I contacted Ms. Axsmith about a complicated legal real estate matter and she did not turn me away like most attorneys I had contacted. She was very interested in my matter and she took time to understand the issues. I believe that I will hire her once the next step of my case has completed. I appreciate an attorney that is interested enough to take time to listen to a situation that is complex but achievable.

The consultation of the centure

Wow! Just got off the phone with Ms. Axsmith, and recieved a fantastically helpful and generous consultation, without charge. I'm a DC landlord, and had questions about a whole bunch of things. Flood damage, (not) charging rent when the place is a wreck and under construction, leases, tenants giving notice, me giving notice, advance rent, and understanding DC law and the courts. She made time for all of this, for free, enlightened me with clear ideas and directions, and wished me well--no hard sell for a fee consultation or service to buy from her. Axsmith gets it--help people if you can, and charge them when they need the really complicated stuff. And I feel confident that I can visit her for that paid help if I need it, and receive the same courteous, thoughtful professionalism I benefitted from today. Hot dang, I never expected to get that much help from a lawyer with a simple phone call!

Effective and Aggressive

Really Fights For You

We didn't know what to do. Our mother couldn't take care of herself anymore and was being taken advantage of by a caregiver we hired before. Attorney Axsmith went to court and got my mother's care in the hands of a family member. She found money my mother had that she forgot about. Attorney Axsmith found a good facility for her and we are really happy with what she did for us.
