My experience as a Health Care Lawyer includes being the Department of Justice National Health Care Fraud Coordinator, a federal prosecutor, and defense counsel for providers and individuals. As a litigator, I have had more than 50 trials and 25 appellate arguments, and I have appeared before virtually every Federal and State court (including the US Supreme Court). My experiences, combined with an ability to find innovative solutions to difficult problems, allows me to be a valuable resource in any civil or criminal fraud investigation – and, in particular, those involving allegations under the False Claims Act or Criminal violations of Healthcare Fraud Statutes.
In addition to these skills, I have recently been added to the Louisiana Mediator Registry and listed on the Louisiana State Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections Mediator Registry. I am proud of this achievement and hope to help many resolve their disputes through this mechanism.

"I have known Paul for more than 15 years. During that time we have worked together as colleagues in the U.S. Attorney's Office and in private practice. We have aslo faced off against one another in a number of health care fraud cases. Paul is a talented lawyer and a tough opponent. He is a tireless advocate for his clients, who brings a wealth of health care enforcement experience and knowledge to his cases."
"I have worked with Paul Weidenfeld on numerous matters and cases for almost 20 years. Paul's knowledge, experience and expertise in the area of health law is unsurpassed. He is one of the few lawyers in the country who has served as both a Public Defender and as a Federal Prosecutor. Over the course of his career, he has tried many, many cases, to both juries and to the Court. While working with the Department of Justice, Paul was appointed "National Health Care Fraud Coordinator" for the Executive Office for United States Attorneys. In this capacity, he personally worked with Federal Prosecutors in all 94 U.S Attorney's Offices around the country, advising them on both legal issues and litigation strategies. Paul is well-respected by both his clients and his peers. His in-depth knowledge of the Civil Federal False Claims Act has given him the edge in numerous False Claims Act cases. I recommend Paul without reservation -- he is an outstanding person and attorney."
