Martinis Jackson is the founder of Jackson Legal Services. He graduated valedictorian and manga cum laude from Howard University School of Law in 2013.
Following law school, Martinis served as a litigation associate at law firm Debevoise & Plimpton. After leaving Debevoise & Plimpton, Martinis served as a prosecutor in the District of Columbia where he investigated hundreds of cases in the District's domestic violence, and major felony units. As a prosecutor, Martinis prevailed in numerous bench and jury trials. In 2018, Martinis published Justice My Way: Memoirs of a Black Prosecutor memorializing his experience as a minority prosecutor.
In 2019, Martinis founded Jackson Legal Services; his firm specializes in Personal Injury, Police Misconduct, and Criminal Defense. He is an active member of the Washington Bar Association where he has served as co-chair of the WBA's Honor's Court, a committee that introduces grade school students to the positive impact that citizens can make through the practice of the law.
