Unfortunately, I made some poor decisions and ended up with a third DUI charge in addition to wreckless driving, careless driving and several other related charges in the summer of 2015. Fee $5000. Second DUI in 10 years. Minor traffic violation. No accident. No passengers. I was alright with spending 90 days in jail and on work release but nothing else was dropped. I was told by Ed's paralegal to have a letter signed by my employer to be given to the county acknowledging I was o...n work release. My company wouldn't sign it. It took until the second night I was in jail to be told by the social worker that Guyer's office was WRONG and no letter needed to be signed. I just needed to submit something to the county on my companies letterhead stating the details of my employment. I almost lost my job over their negligence. On the day of my trail, Ed was back and forth between my case and 2 others. When it was time for me to go on the stand, he was late and did not brief me on the questions he was going to ask and did not have me sign paperwork which should have been reviewed prior. I was still made to do 60 hours of community service on top of jail. In my opinion, for $5000, find someone else. The entire handling of my case was unprofessional. I was prosecuted to the fullest extent possible for something where there was no accident, no one else involved. Just a wrong left turn resulting in a dui. Ed and his offices inability to help me is inexcusable. I would have had the exact same representation from a public defender.
