Sincere/Dedicated to a case

Attorney Miller assisted me and my family with a Landlord//Tenant dispute and resolved our issue. Upon my first consultation with him, he listened to my case/grievance and jumped right in to help me. When I met with him in person for document review, he gave me a "firm" hand shake, which shows a pe...rson's sincerity and integrity, and Attorney Miller has both. I recommend Attorney Miller for any Landlord/Tenant case, as he fights hard for justice for his clients. Attorney Miller is the best lawyer in Chester County, by far.

Exceptional representation!

We were in the midst of a first-time legal interaction, alarmed and confused. We interviewed a few attorneys and were not sure how to proceed. From our first call with Fran, he spoke with expertise, confidence and a clear understanding of our situation and what the next steps would look like. His ...knowledge of the law and local processes were exceptional and he calmly guided us through the experience. In addition, legislation changed during the course of our case and he was on the cutting edge of those changes - knowledgable and well versed, and it ultimately had a very positive impact to our case! We are so grateful to Fran for his personal attention and expert knowledge and guidance!

Best Representation

Fran Miller is very knowledgeable and skilled in criminal issues. Equally important is the time and energy he willingly puts in to ensure that his clients understand what's going on every step of the way. We are also impressed with how quickly he responds to our communications, sometimes even on even...ings and weekends. So glad we acted on the positive recommendation from a colleague and hired Fran.

Protected our family

Hired Francis Miller for a custody/child support matter. Although I was a spaz about everything happening, he never flinched. Looking back, he told me ahead of time how things would go and he was right. He was calm & confident. He handled everything and gave great ongoing advice over the years ...

Fran is the MAN

The "too long, didn't read" version: Fran Miller saved me in a big way and if you need someone who will have your back from start to finish, he’s the guy! The extremely detailed version: I'm going to keep it real with you, just like Mr. Miller did with me. He did not sugarcoat or fluff anything w...ith me regarding my case. He made his representation of me feel very personable. I honestly felt very much like I was talking to a family member and not at all like I just paid some guy to stand next to me in court. After all things were considered, I came to the conclusion that the outcome was ideal. I believe that I had a good chance of winning my case outright if I had taken it to trial, but there is always a lot of uncertainty when you are being judged by your "peers". Of the two pending charges against me, Fran was able to get the prosecutor to drop the very serious charge altogether and reduce the minor charge to one of an even lesser degree. I had talked with a few close friends and family members and decided that he was right; taking a very minor plea was better than leaving your fate in the hands of people who do not know you or your character and can only base their opinions on facts presented. When I brought my trouble to Mr. Miller, he lessened the burden of dealing with the judicial system and walked me through each step of the process. He kept me well informed and answered any and every question I had. He even lightened my spirits throughout the process with his quick wit and humor. When it came time to go to court, he went over every detail and every document. Walking into the courthouse, I could tell I was in good company. Everyone knows him, from the janitor to the judge. They all greeted him with a smile and a shake. That solidified my feeling that he is honest, professional, and knowledgeable. He really is good at what he does. By the book, I was "guilty" of the crime as it is written. I attempted to purchase a firearm and I have a prior conviction on my record that denies me the right to own one. Now I know what you're thinking, "You're an idiot. why would you try to buy a gun when you know you had stuff on your record?" The fact of the matter is that my prior record is from over 10 years ago in another state, where the laws are written differently. I COULD HAVE RECEIVED up to 5 years in jail, but I only received 1 year of probation as a sentence. There is a question on the firearm purchase application that asks if you were convicted of a crime in which you COULD HAVE RECEIVED more than 1 year of imprisonment. I answered no, but my answer SHOULD HAVE BEEN yes. I had unknowingly falsified information on a federal document. Some people reading this might be led to think that it was an honest mistake and should not be punished. It WAS, and I (still) don't think I should have been punished. I was young and stupid when I did what I did way back when and I didn't understand the severity of that case. Had someone advised me before filling out the firearm application, I would not have done it. But the letter of the law does not account for intent to break the law. In fact, somewhere in my hindsight reading of the statutes, I found out that it is reasonable to assume that if you commit a crime, you did so with intent to break the law. After all was said and done, I was able to walk away with little more than a slap on the wrist, thanks to Fran Miller. I'm sure that nobody would ever WANT to require the services of a lawyer for a situation such as mine, whether it be for a traffic ticket or even the most serious of crimes. I hope I never see Mr. Francis Miller again under these circumstances. But if I happen to see him out and about, I would gladly buy his next round of drinks and thank him again excessively for his help! Fran is the MAN!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
