Advocacy with compassion

Rochelle served as court-appointed counsel for my mother in our request to secure guardianship for her. My husband and I were grateful that Rochelle met with us to insure that we had exercised our due diligence in choosing a care facility by consulting my mother’s physician and home care therapis...ts and by visiting several memory care facilities before making a selection. We were also impressed with Rochelle’s kindness and sensitivity in speaking with my mother.

Excellent Family Law Attorney - Highly Recommend

Attorney Bobman did an excellent job representing me in a divorce case in Chester County. She provided honest legal counsel and I quickly learned to trust her expertise and professionalism. Thanks to Shelley I was able to win joint 50-50 custody of my young children. She represented me in all aspects... of my divorce (custody, support, and property) and was able to negotiate a settlement that resolved all of these matters to my satisfaction. This was an amazing result given the adversarial nature of the divorce and the aggressive positions from opposing counsel. I had peace of mind knowing that Shelley was working hard on my case and ultimately her advocacy and diligence achieved the best possible result for my children and me. I would highly recommend Shelley to anyone looking for a family law attorney. Thanks Shelley!

A very good divorce attorney

Shelley helped me navigate a very difficult divorce settlement. She is very knowledgeable on the divorce process and gave sound advice. She was also very timely in getting back to me. I would highly recommend her for handling complex divorce cases.

Adoption

Shelly was fantastic in handling our adoption case. I was adopting my step daughter. I was married to her mother and her biological father was not present and had not been for many years. At the beginning Shelly did a great job explaining the steps we needed to take. She followed through with each on...e and kept us in the loop the entire time. From a client standpoint, all we needed to do was provide some information and show up. It was a big step in our lives and we couldn't have asked for a better attorney to guide us to the finish line. Thank you!

Not that good

I hired her to help my son in a divorce/custody situation. When Peter Bort, her partner represented us, he was good at returning calls and knew his stuff. Shelly was not. We had to give her things over and over again. She wasn't good at answering and didn't want to go the extra mile. Peter is go...od except he tends to not really be great at the custody stuff - all other things like divorce and equitable distribution and support - quite good. Custody is a little weak but overall he is good; she isn't. We now have another lawyer and we got much better custody.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
