Julie A. Uebler is the managing partner of Uebler Law LLC. Julie is a “double Hoya” having received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Georgetown University, and her law degree from The Georgetown University Law Center. Julie has worked in the employment law field since she earned her law degree in 1993.

Julie spent the first part of her legal career representing employers: first, in the Philadelphia office of a large national law firm, and later as in-house counsel for a global pharmaceutical company where she had responsibility for all corporate and U.S. employment, employee benefits, and executive compensation matters.

Julie made the switch to representing individuals in 2003, opening a solo practice and later working with smaller specialized law firms in the Philadelphia region. In all, she has spent nearly 20 years making a difference in the work lives of individuals, protecting employee rights in the workplace, and advising executives and professionals in transition.

Julie has successfully litigated cases involving employment discrimination, discriminatory harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, wrongful discharge in violation of public policy, and violations of other statutory rights. She has also assisted numerous clients in resolving workplace disputes and claims prior to litigation, through negotiated severance and settlement agreements. In addition, Julie regularly advises executives and professionals with respect to employment matters, such as drafting and negotiating employment, executive compensation, and/or severance agreements.

Julie lives in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, with her family and two Goldendoodles.

superb
After consulting with another attorney I looked up the national employment lawyers association and I found Julie who is a female and was closest to me geographically and I gave her a call, I told many people about my situation and Julie gave me support and understanding and believed in me and understood what I went through at my prior job. We filed the case and I got a settlement which is more than I would've done if I followed my first consult's advice, plus she sent me a birthday card on my birthday! If you feel like you've been wronged by your former employer or by your current employer you're not crazy it's probably happening and Julie will listen to you and believe in you and she has reasonable expectations too, she's honest. I will miss talking with her, she's totally professional but is understanding and kind.

Best Attorney Ever!
I was referred to Mrs. Uebler by another attorney. I hired her for an employment issue and after our first meeting Mrs. Uebler put a plan into action. Her direction, encouragement, and her I will not give up spirit kept me from many sleepless nights and lowered my stress level. Mrs. Uebler was successfully in negotiating my case that exceeded my expectations. She is Awesome! Mrs. Uebler is professional, detail oriented, thoughtful, fair, and strategic. Realistic feedback
Julie was one of two lawyers I consulted about a possible wrongful termination action against my employer. The first lawyer recommended taking action, starting with an effort to negotiate a settlement followed by legal action if negotiation did not succeed. The negotiation process would cost $2,000 in legal fees and court action would double the cost. Julie advised waiting 2-3 months to see if I got another job since she felt the cost/benefit equation would not justify legal action without a longer period of lost income. She also pointed out that there are no guarantees of success in employment discrimination cases however strong the case might be. I was extremely impressed by Julie’s realistic and balanced views as well as her assessment of the legal issues involved in my case. When I learned that my employer denied my application for unemployment compensation, claiming that I was terminated for willful misconduct, I hired Julie to represent me at the UC hearing. At the hearing, Julie’s professionalism and calm demeanor were fully tested by a challenging UC referee. But Julie firmly and persistently questioned the lack of evidence presented by my employer. Thanks to Julie’s advocacy, the referee ruled in my favor, enabling me to receive nearly $6,000 in retroactive UC benefits. Shortly afterward, I found another job and thus decided against pursuing legal action. I greatly appreciated Julie’s honesty in giving me the most sound, realistic advice and her effective advocacy. She’s an absolute gem – you’ll be in great hands with Julie by your side.

Great attorney
I was referred to Julie from another attorney. I hired her for an employment contract matter after unsuccessfully litigating the case for 18 months in another state. Within 2 months of taking the case in PA, Julie successfully negotiated a pretrial settlement that exceeded my expectations. She is just fantastic. I found her to be extremely professional, detail oriented, thoughtful and strategic. I cannot recommend her enough.

Great lawyer - Would highly recommend
I was referred to Julie from an attorney friend. I was looking for an attorney that specialized in employment law. I felt that I was wrongfully terminated by my employer of many years. Julie took the time to listen to my story and ask the right questions. She then put a plan in place and was successfully in executing it. I was very happy with the outcome. I would recommend Julie.

Negotiation of Employment Contract
Absolutely First Rate - would absolutely use Julie again and would recommend very strongly - handled everything for me superbly for a very senior position and made significant improvements (at her suggestion) to my contract which she negotiated on my behalf.

Julie is excellent
I have had the pleasure of working with Julie twice and on both occasions, not only found her to be excellent in all of the criteria listed above, but a consummate professional in every aspect of the process. Both of the cases we worked on involved discrimination claims. Under these circumstances, Julie is very good in helping you articulate the claim, understand the risk reward equation in presenting the claim and willing to offer her advice in the negotiation phase . I always felt Julie had my best interest in mind and found her to be aggressive on my behalf, without upsetting the other party. Julie is not only extremely capable in her ability to get you the best outcome possible from a legal perspective, but also excellent in the way she structures the settlement once it has been agreed. On this basis, I would highly recommend Julie Uebler to represent anyone with a job discrimination claim.

Balanced and wonderful
Julie is unflappable, measured, smart and balanced. She provided me with a realistic advice and thoughtful perspective throughout my negotiation. She represented me professionally and in a way I was proud of. When she engaged with opposing counsel, she did so with elegance and grace, which I find to be her secret weapon. Her manner is disengaging, and in my experience, resulted in speedy and favorable outcomes. A Master of Both Strategy and the Law
Julie is almost too good to be true. I would recommend her as strongly as I can possibly recommend anyone. And I am no neophyte; I have seen many attorneys in action over the years, and Julie is the consummate attorney and advocate. It is not just that she obviously knows the law, it is not just that she is an exquisite strategist, it is just not that she is extraordinarily responsive, it is not just that she really cares- it is all of these things together. The skill set that most impressed me was Julie's good tactical/strategic sense. She has a real feel for how to get to the desired goal. For example, I had to make a crucial phone call as part of the process, and Julie gave me a script (bullet points) to assist me. And the call got the desired results! In summary, if you are looking for an attorney to help you "level the field", strongly consider Julie Uebler.

Excellent in Every Way
Julie is a terrific lawyer, a compassionate human being, and a true pleasure to work with, even in very trying circumstances. Although I am a lawyer, I had never been a litigant, and had never experienced the sense of vulnerability that comes with the process. I was extremely impressed both with Julie's legal acumen and with her ability to understand the stress and frustration that the process presents for clients. I really cannot recommend her highly enough.
