Horrible Experience

I came to Scott Bennett's office the week of April 5, 2018. I explained to him that I had fallen into a concrete sink hole on July 1, 2017 and as a result of my fall I sustained a left and right ankle injury along with a torn meniscus of my left knee. I was scheduled to have surgery as of April 30, ...2018. I consulted with Mr. Bennett and gave him all pertinent information and he proceeded to have me sign paperwork to take my case. I have my surgery and go thru 12 weeks of therapy. It is during my recovery that I update his Paralegal Ethel of my condition. I realize my case is a process and will take some time. Ethel informs me a month after my surgery that they are waiting for the surgeons progress notes along with other pertinent information from specialist that I consulted with. I have been speaking to Ethel for months and all the time I am led to believe all is well and that there is still documentation needed from the surgeon. All was not well! I received a letter dated January 8, 2019 stating that "proving I had sustained a serious injury as a result of my fall could be problematic." The letter then goes on to state that I had no documentation of left ankle pain but the physical therapy notes clearly showed I had been receiving therapy on both ankles from the beginning. The letter then proceeds to tell me about doctors and dates which were incorrect. The letter stated I had seen a particular doctor with the Rothman Institute but the doctor was actually with another practice. Then to add insult to injury no where in the letter is there documentation of my left knee surgery which I thought was the merit of my case. The letter was dated January 8, 2019 and my statute of limitations was due to run out on July 1, 2019, absolutely unbelievable!! To make matters worse Scott Bennett would not speak to me, if he had he would have been made aware of the gross negligence of msinformation that his Paralegal Ethel had sited. When I received the disc of my file which held all my progress notes and the surgeons notes, the latest date stamp showed September 2018. I am led to believe he sat on this information for 4 months and could have dismissed my case in October 2018 giving me more time to seek legal representation. What bothered me the most was not that he dismissed my case but that he sat on this information for an extended period of time and left me to scramble last minute to find another lawyer to take my case. Scott Bennett along with his Paralegal are very unprofessional and I don't want anyone to experience what I went through.

Top notch

Worked with Mr. Bennett recently to help secure settlement in a case that involved a negligent driver hitting me as a pedestrian. He and his organization are top notch professionals. Timely in communication and tireless in their pursuit of the settlement. Would recommend him and this firm to anyo...ne involved in an accident.

Knowledgeable and Professional Attorney

Scott A. Bennett worked with me on my case against those responsible for an uneven storefront sidewalk on which I rolled my ankle and fell, resulting in a fracture. He was professional, as was his staff, and explained everything to my husband and myself, so that we were well informed. As the case ...progressed, his office kept us well informed. He negotiated an acceptable settlement for us, keeping us in the loop throughout the negotiation process. His staff is equally professional and patient, and supported the process, so that we understood what was happening. Finally, his office staff took the time to explain “balance billing” to us, which helped us to dispose of a claim that my physical therpist’s corporate office attempted to impose upon us. Overall, I would heartily recommend Scott A. Bennett and his staff.

FIVE STAR LAWYER

I meet with Mr. Bennett shortly after my car accident in June 2017. The first thing he told me was it was my job to get better and he would handle everything else, and he did. Mr. Bennett keep me informed every step of the way. Included me in all decision. Had set up all the specialists to insu...re I would get the best care. I would also mention Mr. Bennett staff, Ethel Sembrot & David Erbele. All three worked together as a team. Without Mr. Bennett help I don't know what I would have done. If you are looking for a kind, compassionate, carrying, and above all great attorney, please do yourself a favor and call Scott A Bennett, Esq.
