I was looking for a lawyer knowledgeable in foreign bank accounts. I chose Joseph Viola, Philadelphia. He was listed in the Martindale-Hubble Law Directory. He was very generous with his time in our first telephone conversation and in all following interactions. He charged me a reasonable flat-rat...e and not a separate fee for every hour and every ten minutes. He was transparent with his explanations. When IRS forms and questions became too complicated and worrisome, Viola stepped in and did the actual figuring and work for me. He was very well informed about the latest changes in regulations and saved me a lot of money. I could completely rely on his competence and sensitivity when dealing with the IRS. First and foremost, Mr. Joseph Viola is GREAT guy, he's EXTREMELY TAX LAW KNOWLEGABLE, PROFESSIONAL, PASSIONATE about his BUSINESS and DEPENDABLE! I'm a small business owner and I had at least 6 years of back taxes that needed to be in current status. It wasn't that I didn't want to file, but t...here were several unfortunate events that prevented me from accomplishing that goal. My original tax accountant passed away (rip), his uncle in the business inherited my account and became ill, he then passed it to a guy in Delaware, which let it sit for a year, then I was refered to a tax accountant in NJ, which was fine just too slow, and because I was not that educated in the tax system, I became product of the TAX ENVIRONMENT (Back Taxes, Heavy Interest Fees, Liens, Threating Letters, etc...) a total nightmare! That's when I did my own extensive research for a local Tax Attorney, that could possibly sort through this mess of past tax issues and found Mr. Viola. Late on a Friday afternoon, my employer notified me they had received a wage garnishment letter regarding me from the IRS. This "happened out of the blue."
