Brian getson

Brian Getson has been an excellent attorney. We have had several immigration lawyers over the last 7 years or so. We have been taken advantage of and lied to by many. We started working with Brian about a year ago and he has led us through the immigration process with grace and kindness. My husba...nd just received his green card, no doubt due to the knowledge and and hard work of Brian and his staff. Brian always responds quickly to any questions or concerns that we have had through this process. My husband had a special circumstance and due to Brian's research he was given the greencard with presedence from another similar case. We are so grateful, this has made such a difference in our lives. My husband has been reunited with his family after 10 years, and we can live without fearing his deportation.

Brian's Excellent Representation Helped Achieve Our GC!

I highly recommend Brian Getson to the aspirants of GC in NIW/Eb1 categories in the USA. I am a researcher of Indian origin and had been working in the USA on H1B visa in the field of Biology/Medical Entomology/Vector Biology. I also undertook an industry job for a couple of years but returned to aca...demia. At the time of application (2016), I worked in the capacity of a researcher at a State University in the Mid-west. While I was searching for attorneys, a friend of mine who had achieved GC through Brian recommended him. Brian was kind to offer a free-of-cost skype consultation and answered a myriad of questions and concerns (over months) before I sought his legal services for my Eb1a/NIW applications. Brian was considerate of our financial situation and accepted our request to pay his legal fees in installments. At the time of GC application, I had a total of seven publications (best publication in highest impact factor 5) and some 120 plus citations; so just enough for an Eb1a standard. It took 5-6 months of a hard work between Brian (and his team) and I to prepare applications. En route, we encountered difficulties in what the application should reflect. I had the view to present the document with deep scientific/accurate and factual information while Brian’s experience/expertise put things in a solid legal perspective and helped prepare the document suitable for USCIS. I must share some cautionary advice to all aspirants: 1) since attorneys are not scientists, attorneys see things with legal perspective, unlike scientists. As such, differences in perspectives will cause difficulties in client-attorney relationships at times, 2) both, the applicant and the attorney have to do lots of hard work; at times, it will appear to the applicant that he/she is doing much more work than the attorney is. While it may be so, attorney’s help definitely carves the application such that it meets USCIS’s legal standards for a GC. After submission, it took almost a year for the processing of our applications at USCIS (Nebraska Center). We never got any RFE or interview or any other documentation related trouble on our applications. Both of our I-140s for NIW and Eb1a were approved on same day; I believe Brian’s strong legal documentation left no room for a doubt. In summation, following descriptors define Brian aptly: a prompt communicator, kind, understanding, highly knowledgeable, provided legally strong representation and accurate guidance. Since approval of our GC, Brian has been kind to help some of my other friends as well. With God’s grace and Brian’s help, my wife and I could succeed in achieving our green cards in 2017. With Brian's guidance, I hope you will too. All the best!

Superb Lawyer

My husband and I have been looking for a lawyer to help us with the legal processes in obtaining my permanent residency card from J1 and F1 status (processing) last July of 2015. There are a good number of lawyers in the city but Brian is unlike any other. He is a very knowledgeable, courteous, effec...tive and informative lawyer. The whole process was overwhelming itself but he made us understand how the immigration process works. After our tedious and busy schedules we were able to complete the requirements asked from us last November. Mind you from the date we filed and in between the times we were able to get the detailed tax information that delayed the filling of our papers it took 5 months for my permanent residency card to get approved. Brian saved us from stressful process and not to mention time which is tantamount to money as well. I couldn't stress enough of how detailed and prompt his responses are. I would also like to shout out to Lindsay Hanson for helping us during the permanent residency interview. If you are still deciding whether to hire an immigration lawyer or not for any immigration matter, I tell you do it right the first time you file and hire this man. Take it from someone who is a living witness of his wonderful and professional expertise. I couldn't say enough how blessed we are for finding him. He made so much difference in our lives. Did I mention his rates are very reasonable too with the services he offered?

Successful H1B, EB2-NIW, I485

I worked with Getson & Schatz (Brian Getson to be specific) for my H1B application as well as my NIW (EB2) permanent residency case. From day one, Brian was very professional, not pushy, honest and reasonable. In contrast to some other firms who try to be pushy and say how awesome they are (just to g...et your business regardless of realities), Brian was realistic about my case instead . I ended up working with him on H1B and NIW and both were successfully approved. Their rates are very reasonable and overall it was a great experience working with him. Now he is the go to person for all immigration matters for me, my family and friends.
