Elliott Katz is a great person and a better lawyer! He was honest, clear on expectations, professional, personable and was simultaneously able to keep me calm, as I didn’t think I was leaving the courthouse with my license (60mph over the speed limit!). Citation dismissed in its entirety, no points, ...no suspension, and money refunded! What! I literally asked Elliott what dismissed meant as I didn’t believe my own ears. Elliot is the best he helped me navigate an up hill traffic citation involving a school bus and made a way out of no way. Following the receipt of a Citation from the County Clerk's office, three solicitations for services from lawyers appeared in my mailbox. Overlooking what might have been hyperbole in those letters, I did reputational research on all. For 10 years, I was the head of a 501 C (3) organization dedic...ated to parent's and children's rights. Individuals came to us because their lawyer failed them, or they ran out of money. We trained hundreds of them to be ProSe, if they had the desire and willingness for hard work. For others, not so inclined, we had relationships with probation departments, Judges, Guidance Counseller's and some law firms that would take an indigent client or simply help them that offered support. That was 30 years ago. My first point is that my experience helps me to discern hyperbole from sincerity with lawyers. Yeah, I get it. The words sincerity and lawyers should not be in the same sentence. The second point is that I am quite comfortable in Court surroundings where I represent myself (Pro Se) in court. So, why didn't I do that? The reason is traffic court is not the same as family court. The essential difference is that facts matter in traffic court. Of the three attorneys, Mr. Katz had facts on hand. There was no guess work, or I will get back to you. He volunteered a game plan on the first call. We executed his plan. He also has more than savoir faire and with that builds an air of confidence. My confidence level was such that I paid him his fee and never called or emailed him to see how the case was progressing. He asked for some docs on our first call. I sent them. The next time I heard from him was yesterday when he called me to state, the Court dropped all charges and no court costs to boot. That's a win.

I received a speeding ticket and was supposed to receive points on my license and have a court hearing.
