Michael F. Dunn

Mr. Dunn is a highly professional and well loved attorney. He was prompt and honest theoughout all of our communications. In my particular case, I was able to avoid a dui and get the charge I did recieve dropped down to a citation that won’t even appear on my record. While the officer involve...d was extremely fair and honest as well, I believe Mr. Dunn was ultimately very impactful in the judgement. He is well respected throughout the legal system and it is evident from the moment he enters the room. Everyone knows him on a first name basis, he looks everyone in the eye when he speaks and is always well dressed. I would reccomend him in a heart beat! He charges an EXTREMELY reasonable fee for the incredible job he does.

Summary: Mr. Dunn went the extra mile for me and got me an ARD at nearly impossible odds. My DUI case involved a third tier BAC and an accident in Bensalem, Bucks County. In other words, chances of getting ARD were slim to none. Mr. Dunn informed me of this reality right from the start, and I appr...eciated his honesty. Despite being in dire straits, Mr. Dunn's honest and calm demeanor kept me level-headed and mentally prepared for the likely consequences, which were 72 hours in jail and a one-year suspension of my license, not to mention an indelible mark on my record. We filled out an ARD application at my preliminary hearing, knowing that there was little hope. About 90 days later, this was confirmed with a denial of my application. Mr. Dunn didn't want to give up on it, however, and continued to fight for me, writing a letter and making several phone calls urging them to reconsider. The final decision came literally twenty minutes before the judge took his seat, after Mr. Dunn had talked to a couple important people and managed to get them to agree to an ARD for me. Based on everything I have heard about cases like mine in Bucks County, I am incredibly fortunate to have gotten this result, and the X factor was having Mr. Dunn as my attorney. I couldn't be more grateful for everything he's done, and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone in need of a DUI lawyer in the Philly area.

Mr. Dunn did a fantastic job in defending my (regrettable, irresponsible) DUI case. He explained the processes thoroughly and provided me all the time I needed to ask questions even prior to me hiring him. He was always available to answer my questions, and of course, if he was in court or otherwi...se immediately unavailable, he would call me back personally to discuss whatever concerns I had. His handling of the paperwork and representing me in court made my life easier during a difficult time. The staff in his office was equally as courteous, as well. They helped me on a few occasions where I just wanted some confirmation of some sort, and they handled it deftly.

Mr. Dunn was retained to represent me in a driving with privlages suspended case stemming from a DUI conviction months earlier. When I arrived at the courthouse (one Mr Dunn was familiar with), he immediately instructed me to have a seat. In doing so, I did not sign the sheet at the counter,  nor did... I notice it. When the officer never showed up, I inquired about this to the clerk who said that the cop was alloted one hour from the started of my hearing time to show that the case would have been dismissed but my name wasn't entered onto sheet as "present" because I was told to sit by my own lawyer. The officer was granted even more time to arrive and even given several complimentary phone calls. He finally arrived. The cop was clueless about the case as he had forgotten about it. He was given as much time as he needed on the spot to do research into my history and driving record. When Mr. Dunn and the cop came out of the conference room, I was told by Mr. Dunn that he didn't have any leverage  to fight my case because I had a previous license suspension from over a decade prior. That very old blemish on my driving record seemed very trivial to my myself and my shocked family members. Still Mr. Dunn felt he couldnt do all that much as I was looking at an additional year suspension and some possible jail time for a few months. When I finally went before the judge it was as if I didn't even have a lawyer by my side. I spoke on my own behalf and explained the circumstances of the incident. The judge thanked me for my candor and in the end I incurred an additional year suspension and no jail time. The outcome I felt would have been the same with or with our Dunn by my side. In one word, after the hearing the impression that myself and my family had of Mr. Dunns performance for even a rather low level case was 'IMPOTENCE'. After this experience my recommendation for people seeking legal defence is to not only find a lawyer who merely has a desire to represent you, but also a desire to advocate for you and believe in your cause. That's the real objective.
