GOT US OUT OF STICKY SITUATION

My husband and I own a construction business and my husband was approached by the FBI because I guess they thought he was employing illegal aliens. We were told to get a lawyer right away who handles federal cases and there's not too many of those in Allentown. We went down to Philly and we talked ...to 3 lawyers in one day but they all wanted over $10K and my husband wasn't even charged with anything yet. So then we went on different websites trying to find a lawyer up in Allentown that does federal cases. My husband knows a guy whose wife works for a law firm in Allentown but they don't handle federal cases, only DUIs and we were told that federal is different. Anyway, one thing led to another and we read some reviews of Kathryn Roberts and we called her. Holy cow why can't all lawyers be like her????? She was honest and straightforward and told us a million times she wouldn't sugarcoat it and my husband could go to jail. She drew us a map (literally!) of how the case would go through the system at each stage if he got charged. Well he was charged and she told us to expect that but after a very long 2 years, we got it worked out and my husband had to pay a heavy fine but no jail. So thank god, we didn't lose our business and our home. Our kids were so scared because my husband's name was on the news all over the area. This lawyer was a godsend and really knows what she's doing. I really am so thankful and we owe her a huge favor so thanks again!!!!

the BEST for my DUI case

I got a DUI case in Macungie and the cops totally LIED about what happened. Ms Roberts told me she had a few tricks to use in court if needed to show the cops were lying but she said we might not have to if she could gently "persuade" the cops that the might be embarassed by the evidence we had on o...ur side. I paid her $2,500, which is less than what a bunch of other lawyers quoted me. Well, long story short...I made the right choice for sure, since the DUI charge went away and I paid a fine. I really couldn't believe it because lawyers always tell you they're trying for one thing and then they let you down gently later. We've had lawyers handle criminal cases several times for us in New York and Virginia for various things and I never had a great impression that they could do that much but it changed after this lawyer. She asked me to put a review on here so people could know the truth about which lawyers can really help you. I hope I won't need her again or have any other cases with police, but if I do or anyone I know has one, I'll be sending them to her. i'm not putting in my name here cause I don't want any backlash from police. Thanks again Ms Roberts

Thank you for everything you did!

I called Ms Roberts last year for a case where I was involved in a very bad accident as a truck driver. The police said that I wasn't the cause but when they saw my logs I got charged with keeping false log. It's a misdemeanor but could lose my license and I can't lose my CDL because it's my jo...b and I need it to make money. She worked with my other attorney to make sure that I didn't end up going to jail and no probation and I got to keep my license. I just had to pay a fine. She was spending a lot of time explaining everything to me and I really appreciated that because the laws are so complicated. She also helped me do some paperwork later for my citizenship so that I was telling the full truth about what happened but not being misjudged and lose that chance to be a citizen.

TRULY HELPED US

Today is Labor Day and we are meeting Ms Roberts on our precious day off just to make a final payment to her on my husband's DWI/DUI case. She has requested that we put up a review on here to help her marketing. No problem--we are beyond satisfied. My husband got charged with a DWI/DUI and also dr...iving under suspension from an old case. When we did a search online for what would happen in Pa, it looked bad. He was going to face a lot of jail. The best we were hoping for was work release so he wouldn't lose his job that he had for 21 years. When we were shopping for a lawyer in the beginning, we got all these letters from so-called DWI/DUI lawyers telling us to hire them. My cousin sent us to this lawyer Kate Roberts and we were impressed. She doesn't work in a big fancy office and she told us she does most of her work herself but my husband said i'ts like our family doctor who does a lot of the work himself in his office. He's available around the clock for us and he is respectful and very knowledgable. So we were figuring she is old-school. But actually, she told us she never wanted to be in a big firm because they overbill clients and individual lawyers can't do cases the way they see fit. So we talked to her on the phone once or twice, then met with her and then hired her on the spot. Never regretted it b/c she got an awesome result. My husband did some house arrest and is on probation but she worked out an amazing deal considering what we read about what he was facing. And he even is gonna get a license to go back and forth to work so he's not totally suspended. She helped us contact the DMV and worked that out for us too. Nothing more to say--thanks so much!!!!!

Extremely knowledgeable and reasonable

My husband was charged with pulling a gun on our neighbor. My husband is ex-military and MP, very experienced with firearms and safety, and he wasn't drunk or irrational. Our neighbor is the problem....the neighbors are renters in a neighborhood where everyone else owns their home and keeps the pr...operty up. This neighbor has a history of starting problems, having parties, getting belligerent when police get called, and things have been escalating for 3 years. Last May my husband got into an argument with this neighbor and the guy yelled at my husband that we should keep a close watch on our 10 year old daughter. My husband flipped out and grabbed his gun from the safe, went outside and told the guy if he ever stepped one foot on our property, he wouldn't live another day. The police wanted to drop the whole thing but the neighbor put up such a fuss that it went all the way through the courts. Attorney Roberts was so informative and we learned a lot about the criminal courts. My husband got put on probation but he didn't lose his guns or have a conviction and the stupid neighbor has been evicted, thank god. I won't be putting our last name up here for obvious reasons but Attorney Roberts asked us to write a review and I'm more than happy to post something after she put in many many hours answering all our questions and especially keeping my husband's reputation in tact and keeping him out of jail. And I will say that her fees were very reasonable compared to other lawyers that we talked to who seemed to not even care as much.
