Wish I could rate as 10 stars! Best choice!

Kate is one of those rare gems as far as attorneys go. I feel blessed to have found her. She is extremely knowledgeable, very detail oriented, and she took the time to explain *everything* in plain language that made the complicated PFA process quite understandable. She prepared us for every outcome.... Despite her significant caseload, it was clear that when she was focused on our case, we had 100% of her attention. Best of all, she won our case! If I could rate her with 10 stars, I would. Highly recommend.

Excellent PFA Defense

Unfortunately, I was served with a temporary PFA and the hearing was 10 days after being served. After a web search for PFA attorney's in my area, I was having a very challenging time finding an attorney who was even available on such short notice. I was getting desperate because it was Friday and th...ere was now only 4 more days until my hearing. Even though I wasn't too comfortable with it, I was about to retain a lawyer from way outside my area. So I thought I'd make one last attempt at finding a "hometown" attorney, Kate returned my call the very same day. She was very attentive listening to my situation and reassured me that PFAs are easy to obtain and there was no need to panic. She sounded trustworthy and said we still had plenty of time to meet to go over the details, so I retained her and we set up an appointment. We met for about 2 hours 4 days before my hearing and I was able to provide more in depth details, along with some history to give her a more complete picture of the situation. Kate was very patient hearing my side of things and listening to my concerns. She explained that none of what happened in the past had anything to do with this PFA and that the judge would not be interested in hearing all the details I provided, nor any tangents the plaintiff would try to invoke. She explained who the judge was and how to conduct myself during the hearing and was extremely helpful in calming my fears and doubts. On the day of the hearing, after the plaintiff presented their side, she asked several questions that knocked holes in their story and cast doubt about the reason the PFA was filed in the first place. Kate kept me focused and on point and, after only about 15 or 20 minutes, the PFA against me was dropped! Ms. Roberts did a fantastic job representing me! I was very impressed with how she prepared me for this very stressful situation. She knew exactly who the judge was and how to conduct business in the judge's courtroom. All for a very reasonable fee in comparison to the out-of-town attorney who was going to charge me 3 times as much. As she explained, many PFAs are about perception, as in my case, so just be honest! If you need help with a PFA defense ... HIRE HER!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

NO COMPLAINTS, GOT ME A BETTER DEAL THAN I ASKED FOR

I hired Kate about halfway thru my case when my other lawyer was nowhere to be found. I kept calling his office and was told he would get back to me and he never did so I just started searching around. She told me some stuff was going on with him that I didn't know about, including that he was in t...rouble himself. I verified what she told me and also her other comments abou tmy case. Everything she said about the particular police officer and first judge is just what happened to the T. So that made me think she knew her way around the courts in this area (Lehigh Valley) enough to help me. When I hired her, I told her I want to know the whole truth and don't BS me. She said she would and she did!!!! I liked that but if you want a lawyer who's gonna tell you what you wanna hear then go somewhere else. I didn't feel like she was trying to sell me something and she told me what we could hope for but also what would be realistic. In the end, I got a gun charge lifted and I won a PFA hearing related to the criminal case, which I paid extra for cause PFA is not criminal court. But it was worth every penny. She questioned my ex-girlfriend to the point that the judge said "alright I've heard enough" and then dismissed my ex's case against me. Awesome lawyer!

ALWAYS CALLS ME BACK IMMEDIATELY

I've had a lot of lawyers over the years for different things and Ms Roberts is the best. Unfortunately, she doesn't practice law in other areas related to business or tax law. But when I needed a criminal defense attorney, she was recommended. I had a complicated PFA case because my ex and I are... fighting over custody of 2 kids and he decided to claim I was abusing one of the kids. Then Children & Youth got involved. Then detectives contacted me saying criminal charges might be coming. It felt like an avalanche. To make a long story short, she and I were in constant contact for about a month, and she made EVERYTHING go away--my ex lost the PFA case, and Children & Youth closed the case saying no evidence of abuse and then the detectives never bothered me after that. If any of these accusations came really public, my whole reputation would have been ruined with my business, my neighbors and friends and a lot more. Ms Roberts navigated me through this and I was really scared. She asked me to go on here and write an endorsement for her. I'm more than happy to do it.

MY FATHER WRONGLY ACCUSED OF ASSAULT ON HIS GIRLFRIEND. CASE DROPPED

I hired Ms Roberts to handle my father's assault case. He's been with the same woman for 30 years but they're not married and she's got mental problems. She likes to injure herself or threaten to and then call the police. This time, she went too far, called her own kids and claimed my father was b...eating her. When the police got there, they seized a gun from the house (which my father rightfully owns and has a permit for) and then arrested him for "beating" her, even though all she had was a cut on her cheek. She told so many lies upon lies to different people but the police said they had to arrest on a domestic case. When we finally had the hearing a couple months later, the district attorney was very aggressive to push the girlfriend forward in testifying and was telling her that my father would always be an abuser. I had to intervene and let the district attorney know the whole story. But still she thought I was just defending my father out of loyalty. So Ms Roberts said we would have to do it the hard way and have a hearing. After 2 1/2 hours, the case was dismissed by the judge. The district attorney was mad and stormed out. But my father has restored his good name and his girlfriend is shown to be a liar. Thanks to Attorney Roberts. She predicted everything that would happen in this complicated situation exactly as it went down. Very experienced and explained everything to us. She asked me to write a review of her and I'm glad to do it. No hesitations--hire her!
