Wonderful lawyer and now a friend too

I hired Kate to represent my son for his DUI. I use her first name because after handling 2 different cases for us, I"m proud to say she's become a friend. My son is a senior at Lehigh U and doesn't need the aggravation of losing his license for too long but especially needs his record clear of any... black marks for the future. He had kind of a bad accident and we were told by numerous attorneys that he would not be eligible for ARD. Kate told us it will be a long process and we need to tread very lightly with certain personalities in the court system but that she thought she'd get him ARD......and she did. I'm ecstatic about that, especially because my son already had ARD 3 years ago for a minor drug possession charge. We were also told by other attorneys that ARD is once per lifetime or at least once in 10 years. She got us ARD anyway for this so we are incredibly thankful. And now my sister was charged with stealing from a store and after a long battle and many discussions, eventually they dropped the charges because although she was on video seen taking items and then walking out of the store, she didn't hide them but just had them in her hands while talking on her cell phone and absent-mindedly walking out. Kate said this is more common than you'd think. Stores never give people the benefit of the doubt (not to mention that my sister looks like a spaced out hippie) but Kate said don't worry and she was right!!! Kate knows that our family is not really a bunch of criminals and over time, we've come to be friends with her. She's coming to my baby shower next week! If you have any type of trouble with police and you want a very personalized experience with an attorney that knows all the players in the Lehigh Valley then I'd recommend her wholeheartedly.

NO COMPLAINTS, GOT ME A BETTER DEAL THAN I ASKED FOR

I hired Kate about halfway thru my case when my other lawyer was nowhere to be found. I kept calling his office and was told he would get back to me and he never did so I just started searching around. She told me some stuff was going on with him that I didn't know about, including that he was in t...rouble himself. I verified what she told me and also her other comments abou tmy case. Everything she said about the particular police officer and first judge is just what happened to the T. So that made me think she knew her way around the courts in this area (Lehigh Valley) enough to help me. When I hired her, I told her I want to know the whole truth and don't BS me. She said she would and she did!!!! I liked that but if you want a lawyer who's gonna tell you what you wanna hear then go somewhere else. I didn't feel like she was trying to sell me something and she told me what we could hope for but also what would be realistic. In the end, I got a gun charge lifted and I won a PFA hearing related to the criminal case, which I paid extra for cause PFA is not criminal court. But it was worth every penny. She questioned my ex-girlfriend to the point that the judge said "alright I've heard enough" and then dismissed my ex's case against me. Awesome lawyer!

She got my son out of SERIOUS trouble--saved his life!!!!

We retained Attorney Roberts after reading a lot of reviews of her on this website and then meeting with her. My son and his 2 idiot friends broke into an old farmer's house in Berks county and stole a bunch of guns, then ended up selling on the street to some criminals in Reading. My son and his f...riends were charged with gun charges by federal agents. We didn't know anything about the federal system or what he was facing and when we found out that they have all this mandatory sentencing for any cases with guns, we got scared real fast. Attorney Roberts kept him out of prison and on bail while the case was going on but she told us that for sure, he was going to jail for quite a while once he got sentenced by the judge, even if he pleaded guilty. The federal judge was in Philaelphia named Judge Stengel and Attorney Roberts told us the judge could do whatever he wanted with the sentencing but the sentencing guidelines for his crimes were for about 16-17 years!!!! She said there's no way she could just get the judge to give him probation but that we should do all we can and give it our best shot at the sentencing. Well....he did get probation, which shocked the heck out of everyone in my family. We had everything set up for him to be going to prison for maybe 10 years or more. But the judge told everyone that he was so impressed with how my son had turned things around. And one of the people in the courtroom that works there actually said afterwards that Attorney Roberts had done one of the best jobs he'd ever seen by a lawyer for a sentencing. My son got 5 years probation and now he can be home to help his wife with their kids, one of which is very mentally and physically disabled. Attorney Roberts is our savior and we are so glad we found her. We were right to check her references on here and elsewhere they were right on the money. I told her if she ever needs ANYTHING from me, just call me and I'll will help her because we can't really thank her enough.

TRULY HELPED US

Today is Labor Day and we are meeting Ms Roberts on our precious day off just to make a final payment to her on my husband's DWI/DUI case. She has requested that we put up a review on here to help her marketing. No problem--we are beyond satisfied. My husband got charged with a DWI/DUI and also dr...iving under suspension from an old case. When we did a search online for what would happen in Pa, it looked bad. He was going to face a lot of jail. The best we were hoping for was work release so he wouldn't lose his job that he had for 21 years. When we were shopping for a lawyer in the beginning, we got all these letters from so-called DWI/DUI lawyers telling us to hire them. My cousin sent us to this lawyer Kate Roberts and we were impressed. She doesn't work in a big fancy office and she told us she does most of her work herself but my husband said i'ts like our family doctor who does a lot of the work himself in his office. He's available around the clock for us and he is respectful and very knowledgable. So we were figuring she is old-school. But actually, she told us she never wanted to be in a big firm because they overbill clients and individual lawyers can't do cases the way they see fit. So we talked to her on the phone once or twice, then met with her and then hired her on the spot. Never regretted it b/c she got an awesome result. My husband did some house arrest and is on probation but she worked out an amazing deal considering what we read about what he was facing. And he even is gonna get a license to go back and forth to work so he's not totally suspended. She helped us contact the DMV and worked that out for us too. Nothing more to say--thanks so much!!!!!

THE ONLY LAWYER IN ALLENTOWN WHO CARES!!

M y son is a student at Muhlenberg College and got a DUI 9 months ago. We read that he would lose his license automatically because he was underage and this was the 2nd time he was arrested for a DUI (but the other one was in NJ). We were prepared to help him keep his record clean in whatever way w...e could but I knew that he'd probably end up with a long license suspension and since we don't live in Pa, he'd have to leave school or pay his roomate or something to drive him around all the time. Long story short, we were referred to Attorney Roberts by one of the Allentown police (a female police officer who was involved in taking our son into custody), who said this attorney knows all the police and judges and she will get us through the right way. We talked to a few other lawyers who specialize in DUI cases and it seemed like they wanted a fortune up front but with no promises. Attorney Roberts told us that she would shoot for trying to keep his record clean but she wouldn't lie to anyone because she could lose her lawyers license and that sometimes it's better to just come clean about your past.....in the end she was right. The DA respected it and was more lenient on my son than he had to be. I have had some bad experiences with lawyers in the past (although not criminal cases) but Attorney Roberts is the best. She always returned our phone calls immediately, even emails and texts. Why can't all lawyers be like her????
