Matthew H. Lazarus

Attorney Lazarus oversaw all operations of one of the largest bankruptcy filing law firms in Eastern Pennsylvania and routinely litigated contested matters and adversary proceedings in Federal Bankruptcy Court on behalf of his many clients.

After a professional career spanning over 11 years with two top filing firms of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Mr. Lazarus returned to his native Lancaster County with the goal of continuing to represent financially stressed individuals and families. Initially, Matt worked as the Program Coordinator and Civil Staff Attorney at the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas in order to create and run Lancaster County’s Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Diversion Program. This new program was created to assist Lancaster County residents avoid the loss of their homes through foreclosure and sheriff sale. Additionally, Attorney Lazarus helped launch the Credit Card Diversion Program through the Lancaster County Courthouse. There, he used his knowledge and experience to assist Lancaster County residents address their credit card debt through Court sponsored mediation. Once these Programs were up and running, Matt returned to his first passion, helping guide individuals and families through financially stressed situations.
