Background: Dawn was born in Queens, New York, and admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in 1996. She received her associate's degree in 1991 from Westchester Community College in Valhalla, NY, her Bachelor of Science degree in 1993 from Barry University in Miami, Florida, graduating summa cum laude, and her law degree in 1996 from the Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

Dawn has practiced a wide variety of law since being admitted to the bar in 1996, including criminal defense, family law, and bankruptcy. Dawn currently concentrates her practice in the areas of consumer bankruptcy. Dawn has been invovled with the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association for many years, including serving on the board.

Bankruptcy: Dawn handles both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, as well as assisting clients with negotiating with creditors when bankruptcy is not an option or not the option clients wish to pursue. Dawn assists clients with mortgage foreclosures, loan modifications, and the defense of lawsuits by credit card companies and other creditors. Dawn has been practicing bankruptcy law since she became an attorney in 1996.

Dawn is a regular speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association, where she develops courses and teaches other lawyers about technology, bankruptcy, ethics, and criminal defense. Dawn is a former president of the Middle District Bankruptcy Bar Association and currently serves as a board member and co-chair of the Technology and Website Committee.

Dawn was awarded the York County Bar Foundation's Pro Bono Award several times throughout her career and is committed to assisting indigent clients whenever possible.

Dawn's hobbies include cycling, running, photography, quilting and sewing, and hanging out with her dog, Foxy.

Couldn't have asked for a better attorney

We could not have asked for a better experience despite the circumstances surrounding our need to consult with Dawn in the first place! From the initial inquiry, Mrs. Cutaia answered all of our questions honestly and accurately. She eased our fears and our anxiety during such a stressful time for ...us. Her level of professionalism and expertise along with just being "down to earth" and explaining everything in detail kept us very informed throughout our case. It was also very reassuring that she as well as her staff were simply a phone call or an email away, and would respond promptly with answers. Exceptional, Excedllent Communication, Professional and Knowlegeable, Above and Beyond

We can't say enough about Dawn Cutaia. My husband and I were so stressed out when we met Dawn. The thought of Bankruptcy sent us riling to a place we did not want to go. We self-filed our Chapter 7 Bankruptcy petition because we were not sure who to turn to. When we attended the Creditors Meeting..., there was this "lady lawyer" representing a diverse number of clients. That was a plus for us. We liked her footwork, so to speak. She was sure footed, professional, knowledgeable, and treated her clients respectfully. Fortunately for us, the Trustee postponed our meeting, and my husband and I almost tripped over each other racing out of the Creditors Meeting to track down this lady lawyer. We were very impressed. So tracked her down we did. Dawn has handled our Bankruptcy case with precision. The best way we can sincerely thank her is to refer potential clients.

Professional, knowledgeable, and dependable.

I am extremely impressed by Attorney Dawn Cutaia. From the moment I met here I knew she genuinely cared about my case and wanted to do everything she could to help me. Above and Beyond!

Bankruptcy is scary, plain and simple! No one wants to admit they have reached that point. However, should that time come and you need an incredible attorney, I would absolutely recommend Dawn Cutaia to anyone who needs truly professional guidance with the one on one caring attention that larger firm...s would normally overlook. Dawn and Jessica are wonderful people to work with when all seems lost. I'm not the most organized person and being a single father of 2, I was terrified of losing my home. They took the fear away and made the process very easy. To put it bluntly, Dawn and Jessica saved me, my kids, and my home!
