I was served with a PFA completely out of the blue on a Friday at 5:00pm. My initial hearing was that following Wendesday at 9:00am I had little time to find a lawyer. I searched the internet for excellent lawyers in the Harrisburg area. I found the firm Abom and Kutulakis and under it I saw Stephani...e and knew she was the one that I needed to represent me. I called and to my surprise she was available.At this time it was monday morning with no time to lose, I showed her my papers and she agreed to take on my case. I knew very early on that she lived for the work she does, very passionate and showed genuine concern for my situation. Needless to say she managed to get my hearing continued so we could build the foundation of the defense that ultimately resulted in having seven witnesses to counter all allegations made. She methodically calculated each and every step of the hearing process. My PFA ended up taking four separate days to get through all of the witnesses. It was a long and stressful process being that my children were unjustly taken from me. But there was a certain calm about Stephanie that made me see the light at the end of the tunnel when i thought for sure there was no hope. She told me that we just have to take it slow and steady. The constant reassurances that it was going to be alright kept me going and that she wasnt going to let this happen to me solidified my trust. She picked apart the plaintiff and her witnesses, made her points clear and painted the broad picture for the judge to see. I watched her thread a needle at fifty yards at one point, carefully selecting questions herding the plaintiff to a very slippery slope which ultimately led to her being caught in her own web of lies. Throughout the 3 month time period I had my ups and downs being a father and not being able to see my children. I never thought I had a chance of defending myself against the allegations made against me, I have heard of absolute horror stories of mens lives being destroyed by the same thing that was staring me in the face. But Stephanie stood by me the whole way, advising and suggesting the moves to be made. In the end it took four days to get through the hearing. The judge threw out the PFA and this Friday I get to see my children for the first time in 3 months. I owe it all to her, I could say thank you a million times and that would never be enough. I trust Stephanie with my life. You can tell she loves her job. Just a very genuine person that cares about her client and will fight until the absolute end. Shes awesome at what she does and I strongly recommend her to anyone who needs a lawyer with a backbone.
