I am very happy with the service I received from attorney John . This was my first time dealing with the legal system and I did not know what to do or where to turn . He explained everything that was going to happen and was always responsive to my questions and concerns. Right from the start, Jay walked me through exactly what kind of consequences I was facing with my DWI and what his plan of action would be. Jay walked me through the entire process and kept me informed. When I had court dates he would explain everything that was going to happen before we walked in, and then reviewed everything with me after we walked out.
I would highly recommend Jay. He was a true professional at all times and knows his way around the court system. He went above and beyond what I expected and was fair with his billing as well.

When I got in trouble last year, I met with many different lawyers in central PA. Attorney Abom gave a strong first impression that made me feel confident in my decision to hire him. He didn't promise an unrealistic outcome to get my business. He exuded professionalism and integrity, but most importantly, he genuinely cared about me as a person.
Since I hired him, he has gone above and beyond my expectations. He got me a plea deal that turned about a dozen felony and misdemeanor charges into only 3 misdemeanors for 30 days immediate work-release and 1 year probation. Considering my case, I'm very happy with the outcome.
While I was in prison, he continued to provide not only legal services, but also much needed moral support. As busy as he is, he's been surprisingly accessible and responsive. Some other lawyers in the area have lower rates, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I can't begin to say enough good, about our experience with John (Jay) Abom, and his expertise in regards to my wife's retail theft charges.
I initially contacted Jay after he had been recommended to me by another very respected Harrisburg lawyer. The other lawyer is an expert in the field of immigration, and he had helped my wife once before, so when he recommended me to speak to Jay, I did so with no hesitation.
I am very glad that I did, because when I first made contact with Jay, I really thought that my wife was at an insurmountable impasse which was going to lead to nothing but very bad consequences for her, and the rest of my family. While Jay conceded that the case with my wife was going to be a challenge, and that he couldn't promise us anything, he would do everything in his power, and do the best that he could for us. He seemed very sincere, and personable, and so I hired him.
Because of the special circumstances of her case, and all of the obstacles that were against us, Jay had to do a lot of behind the scenes information gathering, and "out of the box" thinking. He consequently came up with a strategy which was basically her only hope to be able to remain home with us.
It took a little over three months from my first contact with Jay, until the completion of the case, but the results were more that we could have possibly hoped for. My wife remains here at home with us, keeping our family intact, which is something that I truly thought would never happen. Really!
I would highly recommend Jay Abom to anyone who needs a good lawyer. He knows what he is doing, works hard, and gets results. Thank you very much Jay for all of your hard work, and attention to detail.

I highly recommend Jay Abom. His experience, intelligence, and relentless work ethic make him one of the best. Those facing a legal situation often feel anxious and overwhelmed by the unknown. Jay thoroughly educates everyone he meets with so they know what to expect. He works with his clients and fights for them to achieve the best possible outcome in every case.

Jay is a well-respected defense attorney. When Jay speaks, prosecutors and judges throughout Pennsylvania listen. Jay goes to great lengths to ensure his clients are educated in all of their options going forward. Many criminal defendants experience great anxiety about their cases, and often times this is due to fear of the unknown i.e. lack of experience in the criminal justice system. Jay has an aptitude for empowering these clients through education, putting minds at ease without sugar coating the truth.
