2013 Divorce & 2014 Custody Case

On December 2013, I googled divorce & custody attornies. I contacted several attornies online or via phone. Chris responded to my online request that same day, around 7pm by phone. We discussed my separation & he was able to fit me into his schedule the next day. At his office, he explained my option...s as far as relocating the children. I had moved closer to work, which put me in a different school district & out side the allowable mile radius to relocate the children. He explained that our first objective was to secure a custody agreement, to ensure time with the children. I only had to visit Chris's office a few times, most communication was through email, to complete the custody agreement in February 2015. My divorce, settlement & name change was finalized June 2014. Everything was handled in a very timely fashion, without having to appear in court. In August 2014, after my divorce was official, Chris's work really came through when I asked him to assist in regaining custody of my two children. We first met in court in October 2014. We then met in January 2015 which lead to our one day custody trial in April 2015. Opposing counsel did not leave enough time for their side of the case to be heard, so an additional date was scheduled a month later, May 2015. At the end of the trial the Judge stated that he would review the case & get a ruling to our attorneys. Chris advised that we should receive a ruling in 7 - 10 business days. It took until mid August 2015 to receive a ruling. During this wait Chris's office went above & beyond, checking on the status of our case & keeping me informed. Once a ruling was released a full 51 page fax was sent to Chris's office. Chris was in court during this time but he was quick to call as soon as he had a moment. I appreciated the fact that he did not wait until he was back in the office to do so. I cannot thank his office enough & would recommend anyone to seek Chris Welch as their counsel for legal needs.

A true savior!

I was referred to Mr. Welch by an attorney who knows him professionally. Attorney Welch was highly recommended and even after just the initial visit, I could see why. I have been battling with a mortgage company who has refused to interact with me because my name was not on the loan, however it is on... the dead, and the house has been in the family for years. My children are heartbroken and want to move home, yet my hands have been tied and it's been overwhelmingly frustrating to say the least. Christopher motioned the court to stop the sheriff sale of our beloved home and was successful. Although this is merely the beginning, I feel more at ease knowing I have such sound representation and feel more than confident that Attorney Welch will keep me well advised during the entire modification application and trial period. He and his staff provide us with hope and a sense of relief knowing we don't have to give up just yet. My children and I would highly recommend Attorney Christopher Welch.

Satisfied father

If you've ever had to find a lawyer, I'm sure you have realized a lot of them are the same. Their focus is mainly on the hours logged in and how much they are going to make off you. So much so that you have to pay them to listen to why you want to hire them. They listen with no emotion, or real conce...rn about your problem. This wasn't the case with Christopher, from Budish & Welch. From the moment you walk in, your welcomed by a friendly receptionist who doesn't have a problem with you asking a few questions. After speaking with Christopher during my free consultation he immediately started to ask for more information. Not about money or how soon I could have it to him. But he asked what was important." How are the kids dealing with this"? At the same time offering suggestions that might help solve the issues outside of court. He was direct and straight forward. He didn't offer me empty promises of victory. With a simple hand shake, he gave me his word to give his best. From that moment on, what was going on in my life, and also my kids life became personal to him. I was going for custody, dealing with a relocation, and a divorce. He didn't do unnecessary thing's to rack up my bill. He explained everything to me throughout each processes in a simple way that I could understand. He was not afraid to stand his ground if he needed to when I wanted to make a emotional decision. In the court room Christopher is a sight to see. Simply amazing! His experience and knowledge definitely shows. He has a confidence that puts you at ease during the process. You can never put a price on doing what's right for your children. With that being said. After seeing everything Christopher did and how all the staff handled my whole family. I know without a doubt I got more them I could of ever asked for. I thank God there are still honest, compassionate, hard working lawyers out there. I'm truly blessed to be able to say I know one now.
