If you want an attorney who cares about you, your family, and your financial future, and who will really listen to you and your concerns, and who will keep you informed about your case, then keep reading....
The family law group includes Karen Ferri, who has been serving the needs of the community in the area of family law, including divorce, support, custody, property distribution, alimony, as well as pre and post nuptial agreements for over 35 years. Attorney Ferri has represented a broad spectrum of clients from simple divorces to high net worth cases.
Attorney Ferri takes a thorough approach in the representation of her clients. She believes in working for and with her clients, whether it be for settlement negotiations, for a hearing, or for trial. That way, there are no surprises. A client informed with all available options is then well equipped to make the best decisions for their financial future, or in the best interest of their children. With Attorney Ferri you will never appear for a hearing, trial, or any legal proceeding, without being fully prepared. Attorney Ferri will explain the purpose of the proceeding, the exhibits you will utilize, and questions you will be asked. She will make sure you understand the whole process.
As part of that process, communication between the lawyer and client is essential. When a client telephones Attorney Ferri, if she is with another client or in court, and is therefore unavailable, the call will be returned within 24 hours, but almost always the same day. In that regard, Attorney Ferri prefers the personal touch of phone communication rather than e-mail, to ensure a clear and complete understanding with regard to any questions or concerns a client may have. After all, when the issue is the clients children or their financial future, there’s no room for misunderstanding, when there’s so much at stake.

Deeply Dissatisfied
Hired and paid Attorney Ferri for almost half a decade. She could not get the job done. Had to fire her and go to a different law firm. She is disorganized and always late. A big slipup on her part right before the end cost me thousands. No apology, but a big fat bill from her. Ironic, had to pay he...
It appears from your review that I previously represented you for a number of years, and by your statement, I did a great job before I joined the law firm. Thank you. I absolutely understand your concerns, and I would like the opportunity to discuss the issues raised with you, as I believe there may be some misunderstanding. As you know, the firm is retainer based. Because we believe that clients should be promptly informed with regard to all aspects of their case, it is our practice to telephone a client when their retainer account has been expended, so that they will be prepared when their monthly bill arrives. The firm requests replenishment of the retainer only when the retainer fees have been depleted, as set forth in the retainer agreement. We also want to ensure that work on a client’s file can continue uninterrupted. Seeking compliance with the terms of a retainer agreement does not equate to loansharking. Since you posted your review anonymously, I have no way to address your concerns with you. Therefore, would you kindly contact my office so that we can discuss the issues you have raised. As I do not know with whom I am communicating, online is not the proper forum for discussion and resolution. I have always maintained a prompt and effective line of communication with my clients. That will not stop. I look forward to hearing from you.
