Community Service
For fifteen years, Mergl has served as a volunteer firefighter, training and testing enough to become a Nationally Certified Pro Board Fire Fighter. He has experience in interior firefighting, search and rescue diving, vehicle extrication, hazmat operations, incident safety, truck company operations, emergency service management, emergency vehicle operations, structure collapse procedures, CPR, First Aid, and RIT - Rapid Intervention Teams trained to rescue fellow firefighters if ever they become trapped.

In addition to firefighting, Mergl sits on the board of directors for the Pittsburgh Metro FOOLs,(Fraternal Order Of Leatherheads Society), a regional organization that provides training and line-of-duty death support to others in the fire service, and is a former advisory board member for the Butler County Community College Paramedic & EMT Program.

False accusation

I had hired Mr. Mergl for a couple different occasions and every single time he did an amazing job and with me in the past I had problems with communication and with Mr Mergl I never had one problem. One of my cases was an ex falsely accused me of a crime that had happened at an old employer that the...y never found the culprit. She told the police I did it because I left her and she felt if I was in jail I couldn't be with another woman. It was an F1 robbery charge. Because of Mr Mergl when I was accused I never spent one day in jail even though I was on probation because of violating because it had supposedly happened over a year ago. We threatened to take it to trial as there was absolutely no evidence, it was merely on her word. When we went to a call of the list, they offered if I paid for the damage to the door that was broken into that would be what I plead to since at trial it would just be my word vs. her word we agreed it would be the best decision. When we went in front of the judge he read the agreement and said he'd never seen an F1 burglary dropped to a fine in a plea agreement. (Unless the person was a snitch which I was not) Because of Ryan I have my life back! No crazy ex! My other case was a lady who bought something off me online and a month later it broke and she wanted her money back as though it was my fault. Long story short when we went to the county court the judge told her she was not even in the same league as Mr Mergl trying to defend herself and to pick her battles and the case was dropped! I suggest Mr Mergl to anyone looking for a truly experienced lawyer that knows both sides of the criminal process and can win your case!

The best representation around!

Integrity and values goes a long way. Ryan represented me in a custody case and wasn't in it for the money (as I have experienced with other lawyers) but for what was right. Ryan is well educated with the law and fights for justice! I am beyond thankful for this type of attorney to serve our area and... I will permanently use him for any other problems I may experience.
