Biography
Joe Pometto is the founder and managing partner of Joe Pometto Law. Attorney Joe Pometto oversees the daily functioning of the law firm. He is also an experienced trial lawyer who was taken numerous cases to jury verdicts. Joe Pometto has also conducted mediations, arbitrations, magistrate hearings, bench trials, direct appeals, plea bargains and high-level negotiations. He especially enjoys working on jury cases and preparing for trials.
Prior to the founding of his own law firm, Attorney Pometto worked for the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office, the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel, the Allegheny County Veteran’s Court, an Employment Litigation Law Firm and a Law Firm specializing in the defense of toxic tort litigation.
The educational background of Mr. Pometto includes a law degree from Duquesne University School of Law and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. While at Duquesne Law Attorney Pometto’s trial skills were identified by the faculty as he was chosen to represent the school at multiple, national trial advocacy competitions.
Before pursuing an education and career in law, Attorney Pometto served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, both stateside and overseas. While in the Air Force, Attorney Pometto was a fighter jet mechanic and also served as security forces when force augmentation was required by the base commander. He uses the discipline and work ethic he learned in the military to bolster his legal practice.
Attorney Pometto founded Joe Pometto Law to fight for the rights of individuals and small businesses. At Joe Pometto Law: people come first. As a veteran of the Armed Forces, he especially enjoys helping fellow veterans who need legal assistance. In his free time Joe enjoys golf, reading books on ancient history and traveling.
