Dawn K. Gull

After the initial meeting with Dawn I knew that she was the one to get results. Prior to my meeting with Dawn my anxiety level was through the roof. As the initial meeting went on I immediately felt my anxiety levels dropping. Dawns paralegal "Michelle " added to my anxiety decreasing by being truly... invested in getting the best results possible for me. I had a very unusual case that my previous lawyer had represented me for many years getting some results. Dawn was honest with me and said i had a very unusual case and explained in detail promising me that she would do her very best to get my case resolved. In 4 short months Dawn was able to resolve my case and give me my life back. I will never forget Dawn's professionalism and true kindness.

To protect others, I am compelled to strongly caution against hiring this lawyer. My case was extremely simple: 25 year marriage, full time mom with little financial resources, 2 children, no fault divorce, with a small estate. Ms. Gull billed me in excess of 40K in just 10 months. She was complet...ely ineffective both in the courtroom and out, in dealing with the System in Butler County. Shortly after the trial, and before she finished my divorce case, she quit, leaving me to scramble for another lawyer to try and finish the divorce, enforce the Equitable Distribution Order, and begin the child custody portion. She left my divorce case in a mess while she went off on a vacation. One contributing factor to her quitting is that I attempted to hold her accountable and urged her to get some results for my 40+K investment in her, so she became angry. She also dismissed most of my concerns regarding the child custody portion and refused to advocate for my interests, which is precisely what one hires a lawyer to do. Despite all of her experience, Dawn had no desire or ability to address my concerns or even get the Equitable Distribution Order executed. She does not collaborate or listen to the client, but rather is dictatorial. I greatly regret hiring this person, who had great reviews and seemed capable and experienced. She took so much money from me it is sinful, and she achieved nothing on my behalf. Hiring Dawn was a grave and costly mistake that others should not repeat.

I retained Ms. Gull to litigate a custody dispute almost two years ago. In this time, she has proven to be meticulous, reasoned, and has given sound, useful advice. She does not over-promise; she over-delivers. In her years practicing in Pittsburgh, Dawn has earned the respect of other attorneys as w...ell as clients (and even the clients of opposing counsel! I was recommended to Dawn by a lawyer/friend whose ex-husband was represented by Ms. Gull.) She typically returns phone calls the same day, and is easy to schedule with. Dawn may be polite and refined, but she is tenacious and has a quick, legal mind; she is aggressive/ assertive when she needs to be. I watched Dawn single-handedly run rings around my ex-husband's team of four attorneys. I would rather have one Dawn Gull than a flock of incompetents.
