Excellent Representation

I recommend Mike Cyr in the highest possible terms. If you retain him to help you, you can expect expert representation and an extraordinary level of professional responsiveness. Although no lawyer can guarantee a result, you can rely on Mr. Cyr to do everything that can lawfully be done to achieve... the best possible outcome for you. I was stopped in Chemung County by a state trooper who was told that my license was suspended even though that was not the case. As a result, I was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, which is a criminal offense, in addition to a routine traffic offense. I am a C-level executive of a national corporation and an attorney myself. Being charged with, much less convicted of, a crime, could have cost me my job and threatened my ability to support my family. Mr. Cyr quickly gathered the facts and documents he needed to represent me. Once he had them, he was tireless in his efforts to help me. Mr. Cyr knows the local courts and prosecutors very well, and so, at every stage, he knew exactly what to do and how to do it. When confronted by Mr. Cyr’s presentation and the documentation he had for it, the prosecutor agreed to drop the criminal charge against me and to reduce the traffic offense. Mr. Cyr resolved the situation quickly and efficiently and at very reasonable cost. I am relieved beyond words. Throughout this time, Mr. Cyr called me with updates. When I called him, I always heard back from him shortly and almost always on the same day. I regret that my circumstances require this review to be anonymous. However, if a close friend or family member was ever in a similar circumstance, I would recommend Mr. Cyr to them immediately and enthusiastically. Anonymous (August 2015)

We were well represented

Mr. Cyr did a wonderful job of explaining the process for handling our case. He was able to create a plan that protected our rights and gave us specific things to do that helped our cause. He was excellent with follow through and when we were in court he took the time to explain what was happening ...and how we could best present our case. I would recommend this lawyer.

Simply the best!

I received a notice of appearance for an UPM. Since I live in NYC, I wanted to find a lawyer who could represent me in Ithaca without my needing to be present for the court date. I cannot believe how easy Mike made the entire process for me. This was my first time needing to appear in court...needles...s to say, I was a nervous wreck. I got a call back from him within hours of my initial inquiry. Mike was patient with all of my questions and put me at ease with his knowledge and confidence around the subject. He walked me through how the charges might impact future employment/federal loans and then discussed our various options. He was available to answer my questions via phone and email, and was even willing to offer me a payment plan for his legal fees. The outcome was the absolute best case scenario (dismissed charges), and I can rest easy now. Thank you for everything, Mike!

Only lawyer to use

Had forgotten about me neglected some traffic tickets. Mike was very encouraging and responsive throughout the process. Was able to get me some great results and get all the issues taken care of promptly. I will Highly recommend Mike to anyone that may need legal services in the future.

Great Professional Lawyer in Ithaca Region

Mike Cyr is a complete professional. I presented him with a fairly difficult situation: -I had a ticket from 7 years ago that I had completely forgotten about. -The town I received the speeding ticket from is notorious for being sticklers. -I had a court date that I couldn't appear in (live an...d work way too far from the Ithaca region). -I requested his consultation about 10 days prior to the court appearance day. -I accepted his services the Friday before my court date (which was a Monday). So he only had 1 business day to prepare (and the weekend). For our first phone consultation, Mike explained exactly what he was going to do, why he was going to do it, and, the results he would try to get. He was very clear and direct so there wasn't any confusion on my end. Other lawyers I talked to seemed like they were giving me the generic canned answer but Mike's attention to detail helped make the decision to choose him very easy. His services are probably more expensive than others in the area but I have no regrets. He's very knowledgable about the goings on in the Ithaca region - and I'm a believer in having a lawyer that's actually familiar with the specific town court and administration. He kept me informed every step of the way (he would both call and email me multiple times throughout the day to make sure I knew what was going on). It was just nice not having to worry about anything. He's worth every penny especially given my circumstance. While I can't say he'll definitely get you the results you want, he'll try very hard. And fortunately for me, he was able to get me the results we discussed on the phone. I highly recommend him especially if you need a lawyer in the Ithaca region.
