Patrick McLaughlin graduated form The Toledo College of Law in 1993, where he was the President of the Environmental Law Society. He worked and a Public Defender Intern at Toledo Municipal Court in 1992 & 1993, where he learned the ropes of criminal defense. After initially deciding to work in the private sector in management, Patrick decided to return to criminal representation in 1999. Patrick took public defender cases through the Assigned Counsel's Office until 2004, and worked for several large local firms through 2004, when he decided to start his own firm, focusing on DWI, criminal defense, and traffic. Patrick's goal is to bring his record of proven results to those in need, at a fraction of the big firm's prices. Patrick was nominated for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in WNY publication in 2008. The Law Offices of Patrick McLaughlin will gladly compare our results with any other firm's. Proven results, for a fraction of the big firm price. We're here to help, not to drain every last buck out of you. We care about our clients, and treat each case like we are being charged. We want the best possible result for our clients, the results that we'd attempt to achieve for ourselves, if we were in the client's position.

Stole my money
I paid him for a dwi and I paid in full he stop showing up to court cause he said he wanted 250$ more every time he shows up
This client needed to produce documents that the Court requested, in order to finish the case. Patrick appeared a total of 8 times for this case, including twice when the client failed to appear, and 5 more times, when the client failed to produce the required paperwork. Patrick very rarely asks for more money, but received zero cooperation from the client. He doesn’t want to request additional fees, but this was the only way to get compliance from the client. If he had to pay, he’d deliver what was requested. At some point, rather than showing up over and over, only to discover that the client did not bring the requested paperwork, we have to charge, as we have a very full schedule. Patrick requested that the documentation be provided before each appearance, and the client didn’t cooperate with this, either. I documented the file, and this is what occurred. Nobody wants to get jerked around, repeatedly. Patrick cares very much for his clients and their results, but can’t just continue to appear, for no reason, if a client just doesn’t care, or if they’re just playing games. In addition, the client claimed to be in contact with our office, via text. We eliminated texting in 2007.
"Patrick is an incredibly strong advocate for his clients. He places a strong emphasis on explaining the nuances and subtleties regarding his clients cases to better assist the client in understanding all the issues related to their case. I would highly recommend Patrick to any prospective client who is looking for an attorney that genuinely cares for both the client and achieving the best results for their case."
"I have known Mr. McLaughlin for over 15 years. He is an excellent attorney who works hard to get his clients the results they deserve. I endorse this lawyer."
