I first came across Benjamin Bergman back in 2012 while dealing with divorce and custody issues. I found him while researching attorney's on the internet. After calling his office I was given a prompt appointment. My first impression of Ben was that he was honest, straightforward and very knowledgeab...le of family court laws. I did lot of research on the internet searching for an attorney after my wife filed for divorce, and at this time there was very little information to go on. I did ask friends but got various answers that didn’t pertain to my situation. My ex-wife refused to go to counselling and refused to be pragm...atic when discussing our divorce. I then found on the internet a number of recommendations for Ben. Ben took on my case from the beginning and walked me through the process. I knew from the first meeting that Ben would fight for my rights. Ben answered all of my questions and was honest and up front with me throughout the entire process. Over a course of year Ben meant with me to work through each step of the process. Ben helped me focus on those items that were most important to me, and was upfront and honest on setting my expectations given New York state law. One thing that was very clear was Bens focus on detail. I remember my ex-wife commenting on how many times I would meet with Ben while her attorney meant very infrequently with her. I hired Mr. Bergman to represent me in a custody/relocation contempt issue. I hired him to replace another attorney so he took over the case.
