I have used Phil exclusively for all of my legal needs. Phil was able to help me through the family court process, divorce court and a real estate closing. Most recently he helped me navigate through changing my children's names. He made sure that I was awarded what I was due and, more importantly, ...that myself and my children were protected. He is very knowledgeable and understanding and would explain each proceeding as necessary. I can't say enough about him.

Mr. Wellner has been helping me with an ugly custody and Support battle. I don't know what I would do without him. I have found his council and advice always honest, informed, and realistic. I've seen him both as a compassionate mediator, and a strong fighter. He sometimes is hard to get a ...hold of, but when you do he is very easy to communicate with. It is obvious that he cares about justice, the law, and the human being he is representing. He seems to be very familiar with the local courts, (Columbia County) other attorneys, and judges and I can see that they respect him. I have never had the impression that he is trying to milk the hours for more money.

I have used Phil for several litigations. I strongly recommend him. What I like best about Phil is he listens to me as the client, the other attorney and the judge. So may other attorneys do not take the time to understand the case and facts and they just try to bulldoze with drama and empty drama...tic statements. Phil is constantly focused on the resolution and has a great ability to understand the complicated and make it simple. His writing is great, he can synthesize a complicated situation with persuasive arguments and insight. After using Phil for a couple of business matters, I engaged him to represent me in highly contested divorce. Through many changes of opposing counsel, several failed mediations and numerous motions, he maintained composure and stuck to the facts. Although we are not yet done, I appreciate Phils hard work, knowledge and temperament and the positive impact they have on the eventual outcome.

Phil was recommended to me by a previous employer when I needed assistance for my child custody and support case. He is very personable and does care about my family. We are still in the middle of working together but I appreciate the work he’s done so far, it has allowed me to have maximum time with... my daughter. I do believe Phil needs to improve on his consistency of communication and turn around time as there would be days I would request follow up & there would be gaps. We have had honest talks about this and he has greatly improved since as we are now hopefully working on settling outside of court, but I would continue to use him as he has been familiar with my case for the last 2 years.
