I have been practicing law in New York City for over 35 years.
More recently, together with my wife and partner Robin Kahn, Esq., we have opened offices in the Hudson Valley of beautiful upstate New York.
I enjoy winning difficult cases and successfully closing tough deals for my many satisifed clients.
Nothing pleases me more than when a satisfied client recommends other clients! This happens time and time again; clients keep on returning and clients keep sending new clients. Whether the existing clients send friends, business associates or family members, all are welcomed into my office and treated with courtesy and respect.
My office offers quality legal work, sound strategy and advice, and reasonable fees.
When I am not busy with my law practice, I enjoy downhill skiing, hiking in upstate New York, road and mountain biking, trail running, seeing live music, and spending time with my family and friends.

ABUSIVE, DISINGENUOUS, UNPROFESSIONAL
I retained Mr. Miller in his new location in the Hudson Valley to represent me on the closing of my house. He has no sense of duty to his clients. He is recklessly disregardful of facts that apply to his failed performance. It's one non-meritorious claim after another, with knowledge of the falsity o...
This "anonymous" reviewer is a former client of mine named Joanne Raffer. After her prior lawyer had dropped her because of the extreme difficulty she herself had in dealing with Ms. Raffer as a client, I mistakenly took her on thinking that I would be able to complete the most basic real estate deal. How difficult can Ms. Raffer be? Maybe it was the other lawyer that was the issue? Wow, just wow. I should have known better. Shame on me, an attorney for more than 30 years. In the process of selling her single-family home in the Catskills, Ms. Raffer alienated her former lawyer, the buyer's lawyer, the paralegal for the buyer's lawyer, the secretary for the buyer's lawyer, the title agent, her own real estate agent, myself, my paralegal, and my law partner. She sent literally dozens of off key and threatening emails, was abusive to me and my staff, demanded I do things for which I was not hired, and then after the matter closed, and following her specific directions, she actually blamed me for depositing bank checks from the closing proceeds into her own bank account because the proceeds thereafter took too long to clear. On the single occasion when we were to meet before the closing, I took ill and was unable to meet with her. I sent my law partner (who is also my wife) to meet with her in my place. Ms. Raffer incredulously refused to meet with her, and later on complained incessantly that nobody had let her know that I would not be able to make the meeting (even though notice to her is impossible because she does not have a cellphone), and I was literally on my back for 2 days with fever and aches). Difficult client? She wins the "most difficult client prize" with the 2nd place finisher miles behind! One only needs to see all of the other 5-star reviews on my profile to realize this one particular review is obviously the work of a nightmarish client. Of course, Ms. Raffer received every penny that she was entitled to receive in connection with her house closing.

Reliable and Efficient Lawyer!
Mr. Miller was hired by me and my mom to represent us in selling our property in Brooklyn. The case was long and tiresome but Mr. Miller kept us well-informed and always had our best interests at heart for the entire duration of the case. He would meet with us to go step-by-step through wordy contrac...

Retaliatory Eviction
I hired Mr. Miller to help me with what I believed to be a retaliatory eviction from my landlord. After exercising my rights as a tenant and abiding by the NYS laws in regard to a bed bug infestation my landlord served me with a Petition of Eviction. Mr. Miller and his team of experts were very profe...

Landlord tenant court - tenant eviction
Home owner 3 family home, had several long term tenants for over 40 years. Never had an issue until I was trying to sell my home. Scott made it clear at all times what was going on what should be expected. What could happen, games plans based on those outcomes. I feel the cost were fair and...
Robert this was definitely a tough case. Evicting an elderly tenant (who in this case was 90 years old) always presents challenges which do not exist in other cases. The Court seeks to protect those that need protection while at the same time permitting an owner to recover possession of their property. It ended well, with the elderly tenant securing alternate housing and you getting your property back.

I am the Landlord
I hired Scott Miller twice for eviction of my holdover Tenant from my Property. My Tenant did not want to vacate my Property, which i wanted to sell. Scott did the excellent job and evicted my Tenant for 2 moths after the 30 days notice to Tenant. I was able to sell my Property and hired Scott Mill...
Sophia we got the job done together! We evicted the tenant and we closed on the property. Thank you very much for posting this review.
