We used Mark several years ago for a house purchase. He was recommended by my husbands office. It was difficult to get a hold of him and most times ended up speaking with his staff who were wonderful. The afternoon before the sale I get a call that there is money owed on the bill that needs to be fi...gured out before the sale the next day. I was out of town stuck in a hotel room and my husband was busy at work until late. After telling us that if this can’t be figured out the sale will be delayed I got furious. This man’s advice on buying a home caused us to lose the sale because we added stipulations for negotiation purposes that the seller declined and put the house back on the market. The second home had its issues with the sale but we were desperate and didn’t want to lose this house too. Overall I had problems with his lack of transparency and the fact he dropped a bomb the day before a sale saying we owed him an additional $8,000 dollars when he never provided any warning or documentation for the bill. It was pay up or you don’t get the house. Im surprised he is still allowed to practice.

Our experience with Marc Miller as the buyer’s attorney for our home was a regrettable one. He lured me in by establishing a connection during our initial call and after that it was his assistant who handled all the processes related to the sale. She was competent but totally on rote as if referri...ng to a manual during the entire process. The couple of times that I saw Marc at the office he seemed more interested in speaking about his antique collection than about the closing. The closing came with many surprises in terms of extra costs that we were not warned about. One was that we had to pay for the remaining oil in the oil tank. We had no interest in the oil tank as we were going to convert to an electrical heating system but we’re not given the choice to say no. Basically it was sign here and take out your check book. Marc should have outlined for us everything prior to the closing which he did not. It seemed that cozying up to the sellers lawyer was more important.

Marc was outstanding and went above and beyond in working through a very complicated foreclosure auction at the beginning of the pandemic and managed to close the deal for me in... SIX weeks. ...SIX WEEKS! They even offered to arrange it earlier! In the height of the pandemic! With an extremely difficult bank fighting us to boot. This man is a genius with what he had to deal with for this transaction. I am eternally grateful and will be sure to use Marc for any Real Estate purposes for the rest of my days.
